Thanks Shadow!

Going to start low with both, perhaps 200s @ 1,050 - 1,100, see what they like :)

The G20 is setup for the hotter stuff ;)

Drooling  ;D

My own blog said that I didn't die and that I'd be back to it soon, that was back in Feb of 18'  :))

A few promotions later and I've found myself spending the bulk of my weekends motionless (lazy) :)

I did buy a barrel blank from Green Mountain in the "correct" composition (4150 maybe, not certain) (according to Recreational Software), so I'm hoping that future testing is more inline with factory reported pressures.

Maybe next spring :)

155s @ 1,640, guess I need to up my game :)

G20.4 w/ LW 5.15" I was seeing brass shear at 1,450.

Yikes!

With new Starline & a very well supported chamber I ventured up to 13.5 (155 XTP), brass shear was real.

After 13.0gr #7 was no longer linear (for me), backed it down to 12.7 and only lost 90fps.

Back to the original question, why did 10mm make a comeback? Because it is the cartridge that all semi-auto cartridges want to be, but can't be. It has it all, velocity, energy, easy to reload, versatility of bullets.
It just took awhile to get over the bad wrap that the FBI gave it over recoil. I have never found it objectionable. Like I said in the beginning they all aspire to achieve 10mm ballistics but without recoil, laws of physics won't allow.

Performance of boutique ammo probably helped the mystique, but I have to believe the fact it's a handloader's dream really helped; the 10mm (not exclusively) can be loaded with almost every pistol and shotgun powder out there, from mild to wild, 100 different bullets, it all just works :)

Thanks Shadow!

In all my 10mm wanderings I've only loaded Starline, Jagemann, and Norma brass. Do you have an opinion on the RP brass?

And the small pocket FC, didn't even know that was a thing!

Cross posted on another forum, sharing my good fortune here :)

Member on another forum was giving away some 10mm components, I chimed in first :)

400 pcs of primed brass
1,500 pcs nickle - sampled about 200 and condition suggests they're 1st fired. Mostly RP, but a mix of Winchester, Hornady, Starline, FC, & DT.
About 100pcs each of ELB, Impact (Starline), Winchester, FC, PMC, Top Brass, and about 25 pcs of nickle FC small primer (didn't know those existed!).
Box of Nosler 135s, XTP 155 & 200, about 100 MG 155s.
About 700 traditionally lubed 180s, gonna strip em' with white gas and coat with RAL.

AND 400 reloads that I'll tear down for components, maybe, someday.

All for free!
