Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: GOLD DOTS
April 10 2016 06:04:19 PM MDT
I have purchased 2500 165gr from Widener's 19.95 per hundred. 1st time I have used them. I am finding it hard keeping COAL consistent on my Dillon 550.
It looks like they are crimped grooved. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Terrorists are a non issue in the big scheme of things. You're thousands times more likely to die from bad food, cars, cancer,  a heart attack, falling down stairs, bee sting, self inflicted gun shot wound, death by asteroid/space debris, earthquake, tornado,

Dying from terrorist attack is somewhere around being mauled by a bear or death by scorpion sting, pretty much not gonna happen.  If  it did,  what are you going to do about someone planting a bomb at a large dam face or sports event or whatever other scheme the villains of the world are planning. They're not going to home invade you with nothing but an AK and a turban yelling "alalalalala."

Worse things to worry about -

1) the most effective course of antibiotics has just been resisted by some new strains of bacteria in China.. In the next decade or so,  we're likely to be returning to a pre antibiotic era. Dying from an infection from a hang nail, good times.

2) China vs Japan, or India vs Pakistan. Both of these conflicts have a moderate chance to open up into thermonuclear war. Guess whose gonna end up stepping in to try and make peacekeeper?

We could go on and on  instead of worrying about this nonsense in the back of your mind, focus on how to make your immediate world self sufficient. Grow food, learn first aid,  Eat right,  work out, love your family. Training in firearms is there too,  but it's a last resort option for so many situations.  Get good,  stay practiced,  but don't skimp on a lot of other potentially important stuff.

But yeah,  don't spend your time worrying about overhyped media nonsense.

I understand the first half of your screen name. You must live in Wyoming. In Texas we have many who have been murdered by terrorists. Mexican Salvadorians Guatemalan types. Home invasions every day here middle class neighborhoods are often the target. Dream on Dizzy

Quote from: Wolfie on October 09 2015 10:56:40 PM MDTWhat is needed is immigration reform now, while there is leverage. Keep delaying it and the Ds will get the House and Senate back and its lights out for the America most of you dream of.

I agree, but the problem is, the Dems want a full open door policy, while the Repubs want the doors shut before taking on the hard questions of how to handle the 12 million or so. People continually advocate sending them back to their own country, but in reality, there is no way to really do that.

It is just going to continue to go around in circles, unless some on both sides of the aisle have the balls to do the right thing.

We need an imagration system that work. If you want to come here legally, it takes years and costs many thousands of dollars to do so, so why go to all that trouble, when you can get a visa to come for vacation and never leave.

People are brainwashed into thinking the problem only exists on our Southern boarder, when it fact, the people crossing the boarder due south is smaller in number than the people arriving by plane.

The US started from 0 in 1941 and in 3 years became the most powerful country on earth by 1945. we built the infrastructure and developed Atomic weapons in 3 years. We built the interstate highway system in the 60's landed a man on the moon and brought them back alive. It took the will and determination to accomplish. We can round them all up, send them back to where they came from if the will existed. It would be considerably cheaper to deport every last one of them than to keep paying to house, feed, "educate" , and provide medical care. We lack the will of our greatest generation. I am in my late 60's and am still working to provide for these squatters. I live 100 miles from the southern border and we are crawling with these sad 3rd world human beings. I don't blame them for coming in my open back door looking  for a better life than the sh*thole of Mexico, central America and south America but if they did not come here legally then we need to round them up and ship them out.

I use 165gr Golden Sabers for my carry round. 10.0 PP CCI350 Primers Starline Nickel Brass 1395ft/sec. They stay together well in my Experience and open up to just under 1.0 inch .96. Cant find Golden Sabers for the last few months so have switched to 165 Gr Gold Dots.

I never feel undergunned with my G29sf or my G20. I believe that stopping a threat is better accomplished with a larger more powerful caliber. If you have the same shot placement with a full power 10m vs a smaller caliber the energy delivered will do more damage IMHO. It is my experience that the 10mm is a more accurate round than other semi-auto calibers i have fired. The 29 conceals as well as most 9,.40 and,.45 caliber firearms. With my 10mm I do feel I have an edge.

Hi everyone. Glad I found this Forum. Have been a 10mm fan since 2007 and own a Gen4 G20 and carry a Gen 3 29sf as my EDC. Both equipped with America pro I Dots. Have owned Gen 3 G20 , Gen 3 29 and a Gen 3 G20sf. I roll my own and have since 2007. I am from the Republic of Texas moving here from the nanny state of New York in 1998. Don't miss the liberals, taxes, shoveling snow and scraping my windshield or the otherwise  awful weather. I haven't seen snow in 18 years and only want to see it on the news.Glad to be in Texas and on this Forum. I see some others here that i recognize from other forums. Now I know where everyone is from the Ten Ring.
