It started with my power pistol load work up with a 180gr acme lng...10.0gr of power pistol..1.255 col...I can't test it and been busy..I'm trying to get a chance and try out some underwood 180's to narrow it down..question is this..is over running the normal ejection process and popping out the magwell a sign of over pressure? Or does this occur with the mag out sometimes? The brass is unusable do a crease on the top..the lee resizer won't fix it. I'll chime in when I get the chance to try it again..this time with mag in and 9.6gr for some reason I think the load is hot and my recoil spring too weak...timing issue. .first time with power pistol and I like the accuracy I'm seeing

How they doing for ya boss? I have some and used 8.7gr 800x and 9.0gr of power pistol for some accurate loads.i run a g20sf with storm lake barrel. ..I noticed off the bat that they are really long,at least the acme 180gr lng I bought was..same as a xtp in length. .took me a min to dial in my lee classic turret..very accurate though..I like the one for luck they sent and the wood box is classy..

Reloading 10mm ammo / glock 20sf extractor problem
May 10 2015 11:33:28 AM MDT
Hey guys and gals..anyone had this happen? I load up my g20sf with some warm power pistol loads and (habit) I always remove the magazine before I fire..the spent brass is coming down the magwell. And is somewhat damaged. This was close to the original buffalo bore load 180gr..I use a 3yr old 22lb stainless ismi spring and guide rod. Storm lake 6.2in barrel . should note that lite loads work good..

Working on the new place..and working off a phone..I still at this point have nothing but good things to say about the two alpha coated bullet. Accuracy is on par with jacketed..some inspection is in order..2 or 3 out of 100 might have a small chip out of the coating..they just work for me and my 2012 6.2in storm lake..thanks shadow. .sorry for delay in post..be safe..guess a blizzard is in route. .maybe that'll give me some shooting time?

Range reports / testing the super coat cast(suggestions?)
December 21 2014 03:16:43 PM MST
Hello guys and gals..(two alpha bullets) 180grtc with and w/o groove
got me some Super coat bullets that have a j&m specialty coating on a cast bullet. I forgot :-[ to ask him if their swagged or a typical commercial cast bullet? Just got them! Out of the ziplock bags they all seem ok..first time with a coated cast bullet..their are other types out there but this will be my first..purpose of the test is (for me) 3 reasons 1.leading 2. Accuracy 3.expansion..for me I would like to see some mushrooming..no ballistic gel here...just want to know if safe in a factory glock 20 barrel..and if their accurate. .if you all have any ideas or suggestions. .drop a line..one of my thoughts was to try shooting a string in a Barrel previously fired with jacked ammo..I will look for any coating during the seating/crimping process. .I post results with what worked best..what coated Company have you all tried? Results?

Thanks shadow...I got her done..i was real close to just saying I...or my storm lake just couldn't shoot .401 hard ball..glad I didn't quit and appreciate it...I seen on here I believe your post about how or why you can make a full pass through die...save you $ from the bulge buster..I got Them to feed and they were dead accurate. .now part 2...what powder in a storm to ease leading? Heard several say wsf? Shoot I'll work on it...thanks again boss..phone just showed a reply. .have to refresh it more..I've always been a guest..just glancing around and I had to join..great sight. .I feel safe..at ease...8) does that make since?? Lol...be safe all..

Sorry I searched several pages and didn't see my particular deal..I have a lee classic and the 4 die deluxe set, wondering if any can help me out..should I gently use the fcd a little tighter or readjust the seating die? I am at the bench daily. ..no hurry..my first post and many on jere have helped me and my friends out tremendously. .especially shadow and his pull downs..glancing through the pages..I seen many using the new hi tek type coated bullets and was wondering about them? Meaning feed quality. .these 180gr tc are hardball and produced by a new vendor..I want to do all I can to help him out..but they say .401...they weigh from 178 to 181gr and seem to seat great..this isn't the first cast to hang up on the storms feed ramp..a 155gr swc was terrible. .thanks again..great group and always appreciated. .
