Comparing older data to newer could also be differences in production lots of 800X.
My hornady manual #9 shows a max of 10.1 gr of 800X with their 180 XTP

Joe,
My hornady manual shows their 180 gr XTP with a starting load of 7.5 gr and a max load of 10.7 gr of blue dot

I loaded some PPU 223 brass a few months ago. I used loads that I had used in other commercial brass so I know the load was fine. After firing, the primers fell out of the case. Apparently, the brass is very soft. No other case, commercial or military had this happen. I threw all of it in the recycle bin.

10.9 gr of #7. According to the book, it should be around 1100 fps. I haven't chronod the load yet.

Tried my first loads today in my Glock 21 in 10mm. Accurate #7 is hard to beat. One ragged hole at 20 yards using 180 gr XTP.
Titegroup and N-105 shot almost as well. It is an inherently accurate round. Hard to make it shoot bad. I cant wait to try the 200 gr XTP.

It's a Gen 4. Hoping to get out this weekend and shoot a few loads I've been wanting to try.

I just converted my Glock 21 to 10mm. I installed a 20 lb recoil spring. Should I install a stronger one or is this one sufficient.
