General Discussion / Re: P220-10mm opinions

I have 2 P220 10mms. One is SA/DA and the other is DAO.

They are both excellent shooters. I got the SA/DA one when they were first released. The first range trip was great.

Then I found out about the SAO and had to get one. The SAO is more accurate, but both are great shooters.

I have several P220s in 45acp and I like the platform.
I also have an EAA witness steel frame 10mm, I still like the P220 better.

It's to bad Winchester's Range T doesn't come in 10mm

I carry Ranger T in my 357sig P226 & P229. I would love to find some Ranger T in 10mm!!

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: Sig 220 or 1911 10mm?

I would go with the P220 Elite SAO.

This is a really good shooting pistol. The barrel is fully supported for the spicy 10mm.
The disassembly is the same as your P226.

If you decide on the 1911,

I would pick the Ruger SR1911 in 10mm. This is also a good shooter with a fully supported barrel.

I have had no problem out of either of these pistols, Good Luck.

H&K 10MM
FNX Tactical in 10MM
P227 sized 10MM
M&P 10mm
Ruger Commander Sized 10mm
Glock 36 sized 10mm
Springfied XD-S 10mm
Beretta 96 in 10mm

How is that for starters?

I would say one of those mini Kahrs... but that might really suck to shoot!!

The three in bold I am behind!  I would take a 1911 commander from Springfield Armory too.

I handled an FNX-45 at a gun show recently and was impressed with the size of the package.  And couldn't help but think an FNX-10mm would be pretty nice.

I would take a Springfield Armory Commander 1911 too. I have a Ruger SR1911 and it is awesome, and
less expensive then what Springfield has released yet.

I have a G29 I carry quite often loaded with Federal Hydro-shok.

My reload is a G20 mag with an x-grip.

I am hoping Springfield Armory does a XDs in 10mm, or a Glock 36 sized 10mm.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: Woods Gun

+1 on the Glock 20.

This is what I carry as my woods gun,

I have the tru-glo sights installed. This pistol is accurate and reliable, and I am not worried

about the glock getting dinged up or scratched.

ALL the Sig 220 10mm models are 5". Even the limited edition ones. They all have stainless frames. Not aluminum ones.
Personally would be excited about 3.9 carry 10mm.

The Sig website has a P220 10mm Legionwith a 4.4" barrel listed.

I'd never seen the Hunter model previously. I own one of the standard versions, sold some others and handled a few. All had the 4.4" barrel. Seems only the Hunter has the 5".

Both of mine are P220 Elites, not the hunter models.
