You have your normal popular ones and I would also like to see a Golden Saber load.

Yeah it's a little odd that they discontinued the Golden Saber loading for almost every caliber except .380 ACP. I think they saw how chewed up they get at higher ("Underwood") velocities and decided it wasn't worth it. Now if they used the bonded Golden Saber I wonder how much differently the projectiles would behave... Hmm!

The numbers look promising, even if the projectile is only 115 grains! :o

Remington was $23.99 in here:

http://10mm-firearms.com/for-sale/target-sports-has-10mm-ammo-on-sale/

about a week ago. I don't know if that is the case now, but they are running a shipping special too.

That is a great price for Remington.

There are a couple similarly priced options for the Remingtons on SGAmmo (obviously shipping will vary, but it's usually around $14-$16 for the 500-round cases in my experience here in Washington)... Though in my opinion it's still a pretty mediocre offering as far as velocity.

Sorry gents, most cra,ahh junk written by the fbi is mostly not true. Most facklers true stuff has been copied by him and the fbi from 2 famous members of the NYPD who spent many years proving all they say is true while the fbi copies and changes to try making themselves look good, such as wound balistics, caliber shootings, gelatin test and almost everything.
You will note in true govt fashion they try to make all shoes one size to fit all, same with calibers of guns and velocity but more importantly wound and killing balistics, oh, we can't discuss killing openly we'll disguise it.
While govt agents were being killed by bad guys, bad guys were being killed by ferocous members of NYPD using guns and ammo fbi sez don't work.
Same with point shooting, if you read and study you will find out it works better almost than aiming.
Every single shooting written about calibers, bullets, wounds, etc are taken from real life shootings from living people shot and recovered, dead mostly, etc. The 2 police officers traveled all over the USA examining wounds, first hand discussions with shooters and those who were shoot and still alive, they covered everything possible, not like govt accountability or worrying what their superiors would say.
Even back then the govt went out of its way to prove the 1911 was no good, its still attempting to do it now, almost 100years later, the 1911 is no good.
The police were not worried about offending anyone, just the truth to save lives.
In the late 20's, early 30's, cops were using guns that were no good, used up, politicians then like now we don't want you to shoot anyone, we don't want to buy you guns or ammo, don't shoot, walk away, cops were using partially broken 38 caliber revolvers, the bad guys were using 9 mm semi auto pistols, soon that changed, the 9's were kept and cops started carrying service revolvers in 38 special and 9mm courtesy of the other folks. I could go on.

Wut?

I thought it was a fairly accurate historical account of the development and testing process behind the 10mm Auto; not sure where government accountability was mentioned in there... ???

Sad to see him get out of the business of testing ammo. Here is to hoping he does well in his future endeavors and stays healthy.

Hear, hear. Let's pour one out for our homie and wish him the best. He's done a great service for the 10mm Auto world.

I'm liking these more and more, especially considering the price and relative availability. Might have to snag some next time I swing by Cabela's just for fun. Thanks Shadow.

No thanks.

Seconded. There's "small" and then there's "too small" and that is definitely the latter, in my humble opinion... Especially when it's "not extremely accurate past 7 yards..." ???

I'm a tiny bit jealous... but I still prefer my Underwood 155gr XTPs over just about everything ;)

Yeah I'd think that $700 is probably an acceptable top-end as far as their retail goes; the different slide and barrel lengths incur their own special production costs over "stock" I'm sure, but I wouldn't think that those two components alone could account for much more than a $150 difference in the retail of a Glock 40 versus a Glock 20 (~$700 versus ~$550) but I could be wrong. I'm interested to see how long it will take for the pricing structure to level out now that they're becoming regularly available.

Sorry to revive a zombie thread but I just saw that they also apparently made a longslide version of the Parker; looks like a poor man's AutoMag :))

Pablo they all sold from $860-$895.

That's close or above what I paid for my 20L Glock-Lonewolf - and extra springs and aftermarket parts. Probably works better stock, I mean maybe runs better out of the box in some ways.  But you don't end up with extra slide and barrel. That said I think my trigger is better than stock and better barrel.....

FYI: there are more than a couple for sale currently that are ~$700, most with "but-it-now" prices of about $750 so they're already coming down quite a few bucks it seems.

Remain skeptical of the concept.  Several test videos appearing to showing positive results with the concept, to mention a few: twangnbang, gunblast, even our raggedyman's (10mm) test on level IIA vest looked great.  However, also tests of the projectile available that appear to reflect different result; one I characterize as not much different from  fmj: raggedyman's 9mm test, tnoutdoors9.

So these $1.50 - $2.00 per round C&C machined projectiles look scary & nasty, but not sure if it's just a marketing fad or legit innovative concept that has real merit.
:-\

All valid points; but in fairness: these bullets have a different/new design over the Xtreme Penetrator rounds. These Xtreme Defenders are designed, apparently, to inflict more damage and travel less distance, reducing their propensity to behave like an FMJ as was the tendency of the Xtreme Penetrators we all saw.
