10mm revolvers / RedHawk 10mm?

Is Ruger planning on announcing a RedHawk in10mm tomorrow?  According to the Feb Guns and Ammo they mention that Ruger is going to announce a RedHawk in a pistol caliber.

I have put over 1000 rds of a variety of ammo and no malfunctions. It is fantastic.

If you think you will need more than 9 rounds of 10mm seems to me you ought to be carrying an AR. I mean how many times does anyone using a high cap actually fire more than that (excluding NYC cops with 15 pound triggers)? I also exclude mad spraying of all ammo in the pistol in panic mode from the "need" category. I seem to recall revolvers being perfectly functional in a law enforcement capacity for many years and how many rounds did they hold? I've absolutely no argument with those wanting high capacity but doubt the actual as opposed to the perceived need. And FYI, it seems Sig 10 round 45ACP mags for the 220 will work in the 10 increasing capacity to 12 rounds if I remember correctly. To each his or her own though.
Nine rds of 10mm is fine for me and I do use the 10 rd 45 mags at the range and the work flawlessly plus actually hold 11 of the 10mm for a 12 shooter. I also have a G 20. I really like my Sig 10mm DA/SA.

10mm semi-auto handguns / New 1006 mags from parts.
December 05 2015 12:43:22 PM MST
The mail came today with the parts. For about $60 each I now have 2 new 1006 mags. On eBay they are going for $80 to $90 each. You can never have too many mags.

10mm revolvers / S&W 610 in 10mm
November 27 2015 02:13:25 PM MST
I know that this may have been tried but we need to contact S&W in mass. Here is the if, if everyone on here would contact S&W requesting a new 610 and if this could be spread to the other 10mm forums and facebook pages then we could really generate some interest and hopefully a market for S&W to produce another run of the 610. I just sent in a request to them via their web page at
http://sales.liveperson.net/hc/s-90007204/web/ticketpub/msgcontroller.jsp

Please pass this along to all of the other forums and facebook pages you belong to.

Even if you are not a revolver guy please help out.  As we know there is power in numbers. More and more manufacturers are making 10s and more ammunition manufacturers are offering more. Let S&W know what you think.

Good report.  Also good to know the 45 mags work with 10mm ammo

What? After I spent the money for like 32-33 10mm mags? I could have been using those $7 gun show 1911 mags? >:(
It kind of depends on your pistol you have. I have used 45 mags in my Sig 220 in 10mm and have had zero issues. However in my 1911 Kimber SS Target II the .45 mags have not always worked perfectly. For range work it is not an issue for me. The 10mm Sig mag for the 220 are about $40 or so but the .45 mags for the Sig in .45 are $17.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: .4506 mag in 1006?

After a littl experimenting it kind of works. You need to get a 10mm mag body and 10mm follower. The rest of the parts from the 45mag will work. The .45 spring, butt plate catch and butt plate from the 45 works. GPC have the 10mm body and follower.

It is a .45 10 round mag. I have 2 of them and both run flawlessly. I have probably fired at least 10 times each(full mag of 11 rds) without any problems. I also use the 8 rd 45 mags. In fact I have not had a single malfunction with this pistol since I have had it and over 500 rounds thru it.

No dents in the cases. Not a real problem and it is a great 12 shooter Sig 10mm.
