Picked up my new holster for my g20c with tlr1 the other day. Fits awesome, comfortable to wear and couldn't find a better price anywhere.

Chris from Vigilance Tactical is an awesome guy, i'll definitely be doing business with him again.

Probably a dumb question, but from a tactical standpoint what is the benefit of the strobe function?  Or maybe I should ask if there is a tactical benefit to the strobe function?

It's a distraction, and an incapacitation, of sorts.  A semi-fast strobe can overwhelm a person's optics, and cause at least a hesitation.  Not unlike a taser, it overloads another sense, in many cases.  The practice has been around since WWII, or so.

If you don't train/practice with the strobe, it will have the same effect on the shooter though.

I have a tlr-1 on my g20. After each range trip I wipe the lense off. The light has been on the gun for atleast the past 400 rounds with out any problems with the light, and it's still very bright.

Here's my RRA Elite Operator in .556 with 3X9 Ziess scope.
This is not a combat gun, it weighs about 10 lbs.
I like long range shooting and this gun is very accurate with XM193.
VFG is used as a monopod not a grip.
Mini-14 is an old 182 series from 1981.
Shotgun is a Wingmaster from 1972.

Mine is a little on the heavier side too. I've had multiple different optical setups, and I believe I may be going back to a medium/long range setup soon.

What's everyone's opinions on it? I personally don't think it would happen, but I watched the movie "I Am Legend" the other day, and I must say, that seems more of a possibility.
I don't know.  I have my doubts.  Then again not much surprises me anymore.  I will agree with you that what happens in the movie I Am Legend (I own it on DVD) probably does have more of a chance of happening.....then again, isn't that more or less the same as a zombie apocalypse?  Guess the main thing is to expect the unexpected, while planning for the worst and hoping for the best.  I know I have a machete laying around here somewhere...:)

I wouldn't say it's the same thing. Zombies are after one thing, "human flesh, brains, etc". Where as in I Am Legend, the infected were trying to eat whatever they could find, which resulted in cannibalism after the other sources of food had been depleated (sp?). Thats my opinion at least.

The guy who sent me this message misses the point of this forum entirely. He sent me another message telling me how I violated his privacy by posting his "private" message and now he will add that to the "lawsuite."

I might take him serious if he could spell.

Anyone that uses the Internet can't reall have an expectation of privacy in my opinion.

Range reports / My range trips
June 25 2012 08:25:25 AM MDT
I usually frequent the range so I'll be updating this thread quite often.

Yesterday 6/24 I went to the range with a friend to sight in his dads hk416 and shoot his ska and my ar. Once we got there it started to rain so I only managed to get 2 videos. Here's one of them. Video was taken with a GoPro camera.

Has anyone seen the movie "I Am Legend"?

Just a remake of the Charleston Heston movie from the 70"s, The Omega Man.  Almost identical.

Didn't know that lol.

I was just saying the the "I Am Legend" seems more plausible than a zombie apocalypse.
