220 Gr Underwood has worked great for me.

Picked up my new Eclipse last week. I always wanted a 10MM in the 1911 format. I was able to take it out to the range and qualify with it this week. I was able to shoot a variety of ammo through it, including Sig, Freedom Munitions, Underwood and Federal. It shot 100% with absolutely no issues. The Kimber certainly provides more feedback with the hotter rounds then the model 40; however even the hot Underwood ammo was pleasant to shoot. I have to add an ambidextrous safety, but nothing else needs to be changed. Kimber has remained out of stock of 10mm mags + they only ship one mag with the pistol, so I purchased two Wilson 9 round mags. I've found that it takes considerable effort to actually put 9 rounds in the mags, but they work fine with 8.  The mag release on the pistol is extremely stiff. I shoot left handed, so I'm having a little difficulty with releasing the mags with my left index finger. I'm hoping this will ease up some after some use. The Eclipse works fine with my 1911 holsters, so there is no need to purchase a special holster. The mag holders are a little lose so I will probably have to see what I can find there. Overall I couldn't be happier with the pistol.

My first was A Para Longslide Hunter... Love that thing :) Its over all my single favorite pistol! Wish they would have been able to keep making them :(

I'm still trying to decide if I'd rather have a "dual illumination" RMR or an battery powered Led model for my Model 40.

I looked at both also for mine and ended up going with the RMR06. The other I found would wash out some in some lighting situations. The RMR06 is manually adjustable and can also automatically adjust, which I've found to work really better then expected.

Looks good to me! I need to add some to my 40, but haven't decided on which ones I want yet.

BWT here from Texas. Have a Glock Gen4 20, but my first 10mm was a S&W 1086 back in 1991. Wish I still had it. I didn't care for the DAO trigger.

Good afternoon from Texas. Completed my 25th year in law enforcement this year. Just a few more until I retire!!! I started my relationship with the 10mm in the early 90's a with a S&W 1086. It was great at first and then the agency went with the watered down ammo, before adopting the 40.  I have regretted getting rid of that pistol many times; especially since you can now buy good ammo again. I have a Glock model 20 on order and I can't wait.
