Welcome, Trackdown.  Actually, I try to stay as close as possible to my 'security bunker'.  :D

I consider myself a liberal but Hillary is scary even to me.  I like the "Wild Bunch" quote in your sig.  My daughter and I memorized the entire dialog to Pecikinpah's masterpiece  and we would speak to each other in quotes.

These people are 'embedded' carpetbaggers, whose total disdain for the 'people' is obvious.  Especially, in the way they deport themselves; with an ever-menacing insolence, and arrogance! These 'thugs' operate under the guise of 'public servitude', when they are really impelled by an all-consuming avarice, and a craven need for wanton power!  What's even more 'frightening' is the overt 'public apathy', and pathetic cretinism; displayed the electorate, who will readily vote for these same self-serving grifters even in the face absolute 'truth'.  Many of these bums, would readily kiss a progressive Hitler's ass for a 'dole check'.  Why should our mercurial 'rulers' care; when they reign with total impunity?  They cannot be dismissed from their positions, or even prosecuted with any hope of 'real world' consequences.  So they continue to steal, mismanage, obfuscate, and blame the nearest hapless 'scapegoat'.  While the owned 'national media' refuses to shine any light into their dank warrens, where the 'real play' takes place!  They make millions, while flushing us down the 'crapper'.  Then, savagely espouse an ideology about wanting to save the earth, and deliver brotherly-love, and justice for all the diverse, unwashed masses!  Any recent view of Harry Reid's vicious rants in the Senate is 'proof-positive' we are deeply in trouble.  I would say expect the worst, and then prepare for it!

I'd suggest you stay in your basement. ;)

Welll, $850 is about what I paid at the time for my NIB Dan Wesson RZ-10 Razorback 10mm.

But that was then. Now they're going about $1500 for a new one, almost twice as much. If it was all that beat up I think I would have passed too. I mean you can buy a brand new RIA for $600, maybe less. Get a lifetime warranty and a pristine 10mm 1911.

I wasn't interested in a gun to shoot so much as I was in a piece of 10mm history.  For financial reasons, however, I try to resist becoming a collector. :-\

10mm semi-auto handguns / Delta Elite at gun store
June 20 2014 07:13:13 PM MDT
I stopped  by a gun store on my way out of town after visiting friends.  In the case was a Colt Delta Elite for $899.  It looked a bit rough on the outside, lots of scratches on the finish and beat up generally.  I had the owner field strip it and the mechanicals looked pretty good.  I talked him down to $850 but eventually passed.  Now I'm having second thoughts.  Should I have picked it up?

General Discussion / Re: Introductions

I'm Ken.  Live in Oregon but moving to Florida, Orlando area, in the near future.  I've been shooting for many years, mostly .45ACP with an IPSC detour into .38 Super back in the early '90s.  I recently acquired a Nighthawk Falcon in 10mm, which was sort of a retirement/birthday present to myself.  I'm looking forward to playing with the 10.
