I liked mine so much I bought it in the shorter barrel also.  Here with a 357/9mm convertible.



And a Ruger SR1911-10

Colt and Glock helped keep it alive and it seems like now it is back big time.  When I saw the Ruger SR1911-10 then the Ruger DA revolver in 10mm and then the Ruger Blackhawk SA revolver in 10mm/40S&W I finally realized it is really going main stream.  I am happy.

I bought one last fall an love it.  It is under my 357 Blackhawk I bought in 1976.



I have been impressed enough with it that I have one with a shorter barrel on order.

Bought one a few weeks ago and it is very nice for the money.  I am really liking it.

I have shot one of the new DEs a friend has.  It is like the one that came before it except Colt upgraded the grip safety, sights etc to make it more modern.  Of course you will have people that love the old model.  The only Colt 10mm I own is a 1990 Delta Gold Cup where I put on some new stocks from Altamont to replace the rubber wrap around grips that came on it.



I handload and use the undersize sizing die that EGW sells.  I don't notice a lot more force to resize brass from my Colt compared to Dan Wesson 10mm 1911s I have with ramped barrels or a Glock 20 that a friend gives me his brass he shoots in it.

With that much money you might also look at a DW Bruin.

Years ago I bought into lubes which had Teflon in them like Tri-Flon in the old days.  Used it on my 84 Hardballer with no problems.



These days I have been buying CLP type products with Teflon for SS.  Not sure if it is all marketing hype but have used it on my DW Classic in 10mm which also has a very tight frame to slide fit with no problems.



In the old days the solution was not using the same SS alloy for the frame you use in the slide but wondering if the very tight fit DW uses is causing this and not really a true galling situation where the frame welds itself to the slide or maybe light galling.  I wish the fellow in the uboob had a microscope and could show us some close up pictures after he took the Razorback apart the first time.

I have been happy enough with them to keep buying stuff from them over the years.

That was quite interesting.

Amazed a new RIA ran that well if you didn't clean and lube it.  The ones (in 45) I have bought new had a heavy packing grease/wax on them.  Vote for new mag or springs in the one you have, but maybe just taking it apart and cleaning the shipping gunk out of it will make it work better.

Not the smallest, but about the smallest I want to carry is my Dan Wesson Classic in 10mm.  It has a ramped barrel and a bobbed grip.  It is  all steel which is O.K. for me with 10mm.

It used to look sort of old fashioned next to the Combat Elite on Colt's website.  Now it looks like it belongs.

The 10mm, like the 357 is great if you reload.  You can load it up or down.  Once I saw Blazer making Aluminum cased ammo for it then I figured it was pretty popular.  Also new pistols keep coming out chambered in it.  Now we need new SA and DA revolvers.  I keep hoping somebody like Lipsey will convince Ruger to do a 10mm/40S&W convertible SA revolver.

I figured the 10mm had "arrived" when I saw Aluminum cased Blazer ammo for it.

I thought the question was more about which company sells the most 10mm 1911s.  Which is an interesting I don't know the answer to.
