Okay thank you both for the feedback, iam thinking  I will stay where iam at ,no issues no over pressure sings and  the extra 100 fps isn't worth any kabooms.i did want to ask does LS have any flash suppressors in it?I ask because our church had a shoot out well into dusk and my loads didn't seem quite the signature some of the other pistols. Although louder.

Wow i have been off the forum for a while 'but it looks really nice!I apologize for digging up an old post but i just had to ask because it relates directly to my op 'so I have been great safe rests using 10.00 grains of longshot absolutely  no problems  as long as I stay with cci large primers would it be safe  to try and step up to 10.5 like Underwood?Has anyone else done this with a stock G20sf  unsupported  barrel?Or should I just stay where iam at?

well thanks for the great input I am thinking of 155grainers,because of 1 velocity  and keep combined and if it has to be used hopefully  won't over penatrate  like the 180s and above .I am running  10 grs of long shot with CCI  large pistol primers, I'd did  try magnum pistol once with 8.7 grains of Longshot with 1 x fired starline brass and I wasn't  happy at all I had one total case seperation. So I won't do that again  out in my G20 SF .

sorry no, I was meaning Gold dots but some salesman at the LGs told menu should spend a couple ore $ and get the new bonded go dots ,I asked him the same question, he told me they hadn't hit the shelf yet .Guess what I was there last week and there were still no new gold dots .So for now the question  is the same ,155 xtps  or gold dots loads?

hi Iam still new to loading ,remember start at minimum levels and go up 5.gens at a time and checking for sings of over pressure, ie..bulged cases (ecspicially  for glocks)flattened primers  have fun and  be safe

Reloading / Re: help with .300 Weatherby loads
November 23 2015 11:31:18 PM MST
Well this a long time coming, but I finally fired all of my loads with absolutely  no problems  I started with 77.grains of 7827ssc ,then stepped up 1 grain at a rime and stopped at 82 grns, there were absolutely  no cycling issues the brass looked fine and the primers did as well they were not crated or anything. It was an informal shootout our church has 3 xs a year so I can't give exact group sizes and the furthest range was only 250 yards but it fun and ore than anything  a great confidence  booster

thank you for the input because I found some PPU brass for 17.00$ on ammo seek and after reading everyone's posts decided against it,has anyone had any experience with Winchester  or Hornady ?if what seperate their brass from Starline 10mm?Is it better ,stronger ?
I don't know about their virgin brass. Perhaps it's different, or at least good for one loading.

Iam not willing to take that chance ,I load pretty warm and the last thing I want to worry about is if the brass is up to par

is PPU safe for reloading? I asking because of prior posts  about loaded ammunition  having numerous  case failures.
#12
well I have fired over 250 + rounds of the loads and they cycle fine ,accurate  I just haven't  been able to find any projectiles  to see how they held up,I haven't built any elaborate  bullet traps,I may try the Speer Gold dots at some point since there is less than 1.00$ difference between the two

thanks I thought about that and changed it  ;D

September 26 2015 10:55:44 PM MDT
this is a great question ,and I didn't  realize that federal  primers were soft, and  I really didn't  realize primers didn't vary that much between manufacturers is there any post showing differences between manufactu r es ecspicially  with say pressure differences.

thanks sqlbullet,do you think they xtps would expand reasonably  well?
