For sale / Re: 1076 price check

I realize that this post is from a while back but they have not put the two dots on them for some time now. I sent one in July 2021 for that service and it came back unmarked. I just kept a copy of the work order with the gun in case I sell it. During normal work hours you can call S&W with the serial number to confirm it as well.

The only ammo issue has been with some weak sauce LAX rated at 1050fps. They would cause some FTF, but the Magtech was flawless.

Did you try the carbine buffer with the lighter ammo? That one is included with the gun and should improve function with that ammo.

Great review except he is reviewing a T&E gun, not the retail product. This resulted in two incorrect statements. The MK10 ships with one 30 round mag, not two. Also, it ships with two buffers, standard and H3. The 8 ounce buffer for extensive use of high end loads (Buffalo Bore, Underwood, etc) or for shooting suppressed is a $60 option. These items were included in the box for the T&E guns but not the guns sold to end users.

I'm drooling too. :D I just wish I could justify the $ to buy one :(

Wait! I gotta justify it? When did this start?

It was exactly what was needed to make this a really nice pistol. The curved trigger never really suited me and removing the slack from the take up and the reset was icing on the cake. Well worth the investment in time and money. I am sure you will like it.

It is far easier to just let an FFL ship it...

Cheaper too... Mine charges $20.

I haven't found one willing to ship in my area. My buyer appears to have bailed any way. I will hit the gun show this weekend and then check into Gun Broker first of the week. I have several to move and they apparently arrange FedEx shipping through the website. Thanks for the replies.

Both of the ranges where I shoot have covered firing lines and the 10's start by bouncing cases around in the rafters. Where they go from there is anyones guess. The only one I shoot any more is the Hunter. Even with the 20# recoil spring it does the same thing.

Ever heard of Form 1058?
You armchair internet lawyers are awesome.
As I stated its just easier for me to take it to my FFL and have him ship it, but YOU CAN SHIP IT YOURSELF provided it is going to an FFL.

You mean a form 1508? The one that starts off "The undersigned is a manufacturer of firearms or bona fide dealer therein..."? No, I am not signing that.

Chasing the brass is the main reason why I do not shoot the 10's more than I do. I did fashion a large brass catcher that helps me recover most of mine. Most commonly available commercial 10mm loads are actually 40 S&W loads so for the price of the caliber conversion barrel I will just buy more brass.

No one who would really appreciate it. My wife has asked several times that I make a list of my guns and what they are worth. That got me thinking. I am having to research that question for myself and it would be almost impossible for her to sell them off on her own. I am just going to keep a select few that I do shoot plus the ones that I can not sell (stamped items) and go ahead and sell the rest. Besides, even a well researched list of prices now may not be accurate at a later date. For example I had told her that my blue 6" Python was worth $1k and told her where the box was and explained that the box was an important price factor in selling that gun. The price kept going up at each gun show and when it hit $2k I said OK that is high enough. I sold it at the next show. Now, I know they are still going up but that is not always a sure thing and I was not being greedy.

So far I am leaning toward FedEx but I am not sure about Office Depot either. I guess I could arrange a pick up by thier driver. Waiting now for the buyer to finalize the purchase.

the only coated bullets I use are for my 300 Black Out sub sonic loads. I have to expand the case mouths to keep from shaving the coating.( plated bullets too) I don't have to do that step with jacketed bullets.

That is what I do with my 300 BLK loads as well. I load on a Dillon 550 using a 30 Carbine powder funnel (which flares the case mouth) and a Lee Factory Crimp Die to remove the flare. When you load powder coated bullets you do not want a heavy crimp. Use a taper crimp on pistol rounds to hold the bullet without cutting into the coating.
