10mm Hunting / Re: Deer and black bear
September 07 2015 08:09:47 AM MDT
Michigan starts Nov 15th for firearms
I'm in an area where I can take the Blackhawk. My practice includes 180-200 grains.
We hunt in pretty thick woods, so mostly limit myself to 30yds,  iron sights.
Never hinted black bear, but if so,  would take heavy bullet no hollows.     Good luck. K

Thx intercooler.
This validates what I was finding online and from what I see
At Freedom Munitions website,  they make it easy to apply to my next order.
Great spreadsheet too....   K

Reloading / Brass per pound?
September 04 2015 05:45:42 PM MDT
Freedom Munitions buys back emptys...is $1.80 a pound
A good price?   Haven't started reloading yet and have appx
15 lbs to recycle. ... mostly 10mm and some 9mm now that I'm shooting the ppq quite a bit. (They have great prices on reman ammo..good quality for idpa practice )
Any input is appreciated.  Thx

Just to put the end to my part of this thread, my 610 sold for $1513. The market and the final bidder set the price. He is getting one fine revolver and I hope he enjoys it as mauch as I did.
wheel gunner. ...congrats on the successful auction.   I have a Blackhawk convertible in 10mm ....considering selling
to make room for the new Redhawk 45acp/45lc that was just released.
Your right about the market. Scarcity breeds higher bidding.

Speaking of the Ruger 38-40/10mm, guns America just had one posted for $1290.  :o.   And it sold.    Really?
Does that sound crazy?

Off topic area / Re: Anyone have/had rental properties?
December 03 2014 06:47:04 AM MST
Our family has been in involved in rentals for years
good advice already given, I would focus on background checks and a good property management firm are great tools for moving forward.  The typical management fee here in Michigan is 10%.
One other idea, if you have a good hospital system near by, contact physician recruiting.  Residents that are doing rotation can be great tenant's.   Good luck

With all the different 10mm rounds bought these last 12 months....none have been double taps.
But have decided that for high impulse ammo, Underwood is my go to round

I have a regular.deer  Lic. And got lucky and drew a state land doe permit, too.

So, hopefully the "prepared will meet opportunity=success".
