I have acquired 1000 of these bullets.
165 gn seems to be skipped in most load data I am finding.
Seen some info the the underwood factory loads pull downs using longshot.
I have a few powders to use for these loads. Longshot, BE-86, Unique, Universal, Blue Dot, CFE-pistol. I maybe able to get #7 or power pistol, but not 100% sure on that.
Of these what do you think would be the most accurate, and also fastest. Which would you go with here.
Welcome to the forum Riggeek! Most any of those powders will work well. The xtreme bullets are a plated bullet and if driven much over 1150 fps the accuracy can suffer.
So selecting charge weights to be around that velocity should be about the right setup.
Blue Dot about 10.2 to 10.4 grains should be a very accurate load.
Take care when seating them as if the case starts to close due to crimp being applied, while the bullet is in motion, it can snag on the case mouth. This can shave the copper plating and it can roll up on the case mouth. It can also cause the case to buckle. It is why we say to fully seat without any crimp being applied, the crimp in a separate step so the case is being pushed gently against the bullet. Over crimping can cut the plating as well. Measure the final crimp at the very edge of the casing should be 0.4220" for plated.

Alabusa, yes good quality bullets can handle a bit more velocity. The thinly plated need to be at or under 1200 fps.

Yes Sir, I know that. The Alliant load data is a max load and should be reduced by 10% for a start load. I am running 9.8gr for my plinking loads.

XTreme also makes a heavy plate version that can take up to 1,500fps...just sayin'.
