Title: recoil springs for P220
Post by: rognp on October 23 2020 07:59:15 PM MDT
in reference to the distance brass being tossed by my P220, I beleive the first step may be toreplace the stock recoil spring with a more robust one. Can some one point me in the right direction to find one for the P220-10mm. Wolff does not list one for this model. Any other reliable sources?

from sig site;

Sig P220-10mm recoil spring weight confirmed

I called Sig yesterday looking for a couple of extra "purple" springs. I asked the weight of these and he stated 22 lbs.

Nice guy - told me all they had right now was the whole rod with a purple spring on it - $50.00 (That would be 20% off if one has registered their warranty) but loose ones would be around in the near future.

Was messing with my Sig Sauer P220 10MM Hunter yesterday and thought to call them about the purple recoil springs. Though not listed they are for sale as a assembly with guide rod. Someone here asked for a part number if I ordered one and I did. Invoice shows it as "Item Number 1202817-R.....Recoil Spring Guide Assy, 220, 10MM" Price $50.00 plus $5.95 shipping. So there you go!

is this a heavier spring or just a replacement spring.
