Have any of you tried this? Searched for the topic but found none.

There were barrels made for the 45 ACP Glock 21 chambered for 10mm and for reliability many had to change the extractors to the 10mm extractor.

The KKM website says the model 41 conversion to 10mm works better if the extractor is modified for the 10mm case head or replaced with a 10mm extractor. I was hoping to find someone here who has done this.

forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't it be easier to buy a G40?

No. It would be easier and way cheaper to order a KKM barrel. And the G41, which I already have, is a huge amount lighter than the 40. The 41 also fits 2 holsters already have for the Glock 34/35.
