Title: EAA Witness polymer P Carry compact 10MM
Post by: Kenk on September 05 2020 10:19:43 AM MDT
Was looking at the EAA Witness P Carry polymer compact 10MM yesterday, and yea, I kinda liked the way it felt in my hand. Any thoughts on its overall quality, reliability, or other would be much appreciated. If I'm not mistaken, I think they were asking $620.00
Thanks

Ken

I've had mine for over a month and am still trying to make it run right. I agree that the grip feels great for a compact. It is a blast to shoot. My slide locks open frequently and jambs on a new round just occasionally. I am testing springs and have had some luck. I also noticed that the end of the slide catch contacts the bullets possibly causing it to lock open, unfortunately before I could test and confirm the front steel rail insert broke. I have a new one ordered along with some springs. When I get them installed and tested I will report back. I really want to to make this a viable edc.

Dear Ken,
I have had my Witness Polymer Carry for over 5 years now. I have never had an issue with it. It has never failed to fire, nor failed to eject.
The recoil for a short barrel 10 mm pistol is easily controllable. Don't get me wrong: This isn't a .22 LR Pistol! It DOES have some recoil but like I said, it is easily controllable for me.
I have run over 2,00 rounds through this pistol and just love the action. It is 1 of 5 EAA pistols that I own and is my everyday carry piece.
EAA warranties their guns extremely well. They feel great in the hand and point well. I typically have a 1 inch group at 25 feet with mine. For a 3.5 inch barrel that aint bad, but I'm not the best shot in the world.
The Witness pistols are also very easy to take down and reassemble. I would encourage you to go buy that one if it is still available.
I am uncertain why TEN2SIX is having issue with his, mine has never been anything but reliable. Can highly recommend!

Just posted this almost exact thread asking about the compact.  Ya'll like them generally?  Do they make holsters foe them?

I have an IWB made by Urban carry.
As far as the P compact goes mine took a lot of work to get it to run reliably. I really like the way it fits my hand so I didn't give up on it. It was frustrating getting there though.

Hmmm...I might have gone for this instead of my G29 had a known about it then. It's about the same weight but slightly shorter barrel.

That being said I have my G29 built up and working quite nice and even solved the "Pearce Pinky Pinch" issue so I am set.
