Title: We have gotten to the point of just not looking
Post by: Intercooler on March 30 2013 07:05:01 AM MDT
The madness continues and actually seems to be getting worse. This one sitting at $1250 with 7 days left may break the record for a 610  :o Seems no decent prices on guns or ammo anywhere! I buy Underwood or good deals when someone smokes one out but they are few and far between. It's about time to just put the sites out of mind and enjoy the entire Summer and look again in October  ;)

I know the feeling, I went through a dry spell since the first of the year then between Thursday and yesterday, I scored a nice 1006, a possible FBI 1076 , and a buckeye special. Grand total I have in them all is $1400. I'm happy. The ruger came with a lot of ammo for the 38-40 cyl. and a partial box of the old lancer ammo for the 10mm cyl.

That's my philosophy.  I've always kept as much on hand as I could afford.  The only 9mm I have is my daughter's Walther PPS.  I didn't figure I'd need more than about 1000 rds to get us through.  I may have been wrong.   :'(

I want a 610, and the price that auction started at was about the range I would pay.   Suprised to see revolver going for that much, around here bolt action, revolvers and pump shotguns that aren't black where being given away not long ago.

I think it is winding down.  I was at cabela's over the weekend getting a gift card.  They had a Glock 20 in the gun library for $449...I was tempted.  It had been there for a few days they told me.

So, not everything is disappearing instantly anymore.

I noticed mags are not disappearing like they used to, if only reloading components weren't so scarce still.

I haven't done too bad in all this. Do you think we will see a huge sell-off (buyer remorse) at some point this year? Possibly AK's dropping to a normal price level?

The issue will be all the guys that paid 3k for a $700 AR wanting to much.   Think it will be Christmas until we see deals.  At that point they should be ready to just get the "evil" gun out of the house.

Wow $1450 with time left and not a stellar example. No way is it remotely worth that!

Saw one advertised on a Georgia outdoors board for over 1600........don't know if it sold or not. I've seen several 5.7s advertised for over 2K. :o Yowser.....glad I don't want one.

Intercooler:

This is typical of the prices that I have been tracking on the 610's. The sad part is they are worth  what someone will pay for it.Same goes for ammo. I watch everyday aa number of sites  for both guns and ammo and I have people doing it also on different sites and I think the best thing to do is come back about Thanksgiving when the Christmas money is needed. Maybe then will we see some bargins hit the sites.
