Title: Searching for a 10mm White Whale, or perhaps a Unicorn
Post by: VRoth on June 06 2020 06:20:49 PM MDT
Hello all. Very new here, but I have read many postings of the years. And I have to thank you all for the valuable information posted as well.
So, I am looking for design that is very specific.
GP100 chambered in 10mm, with a 4-6 inch barrel, with full under-lug barrel. Able to be slab sided.
I know SW 610's have full lugs, but I love the lines and design of the GP100.
Is this even a possibility, or would it behoove me to look at a regular 357 and have it converted by Clements?
Thank you,
VR

It was made before in 10mm, I don't know if it currently made, have you checked Ruger.com to see?

Indeed I have and I'm watching for it.
But sadly, the newest 5 inch 10mm GP is only partial lug and it does not seem to be made in stainless.
But hope springs eternal.
For now I'm going with an SW 610 6 inch, eventually reamed to 10 mag with porting and a red dot (for the eyes). It will be perfect for riding in the mountains.
For daily carry, a Wiley Clapp 10mm GP with a bobbed hammer.
I am not the only one looking for this. There is a thread on the Ruger forum about 2 months ago with people looking for something similar. So perhaps the powers-that-be will smile upon us.
