I just sold my 10mm pistol. No more bear guns for me. :o
Got my eye on a sweet 22lr semi-auto pistol. Same size as a 9mm model but a 22.
Can't wait. 8)
What model .22 are you looking into? They sure are fun, effortless, and inexpensive to shoot
Ken
I'd like to remain mute on the 22 and the site til I have it in my basket for now. So much are sold out all over and I probably will lose out when the time comes.
I hope not. The money will be in tomorrow.
Likely a wise decision. I was gifted with the new Glock 44, .22 LR a month or two back, and really like it. The biggest thing with the G44 is that it doesn't like cheap bulk ammo. As long as I stick with CCI Mini-Mag .22 LR 40gr copper-platted round nose ammo, it works flawlessly
Ken
That's true with any gun. Find what it likes and stick with it.
Absolutely the case with.22's as well
especially the 22s.
Well, it sold out. Found another one and it sold out later. At first it was $315 then $356. Next was $398 and I thought fug it. It was a Beretta 92 in 22lr. Same size as the 9mm model and identical in functions.
I looked around some more and found what I like even more. For $251 I got a "Colt Government 45" 1911 in 22lr model from Walther. I found it at Bud's and it just hit the shipping dept this morning. I think this is even better though I admire the Beretta 92 model.
Same functions as the real 1911. :D

Interesting that those start with a Umarex frame for a blank gun, Walther takes over, then they become a Colt. Please let us know how this one works out for you.
I had one of the Sig 1911 .22s that was really a GSG gun. It was a disaster, literally. I'd avoid those like the plague.
Hey Olgo, it's very likely you will really enjoy the Walther. I've always liked the Ruger Mark IV Hunter, but struggle with paying that much for a plinker...Enjoy your new pistol 😊

Check out the clips on the Walther 1911 22s on YouTube. There are 3 models and shooting good.
Great reviews on the Walther 1911 22. a good friend of mine can't say enough good things about the Smith & Wesson 10201 VICTORY .22 LR, accurate, reliable for a .22 auto, and simple take down, plus it comes standard with a threaded barrel; and will likely be a future addition to my collection 😀
Ken
Went to pick up the 1911 and the NICS put a delay on it. probably what's holding up my carry permit renewal.
Damn buggers. My carry permit expired a week ago.
Finally got it home. :D

Nice!
A day at the range. Shot the Thunderbolts, Federal bulk ammo, Winchester small game and Federal Champion.
The 1911 does not like the Champion ammo at all. Under powered, misfeeds and jams. After 5 rounds of it I said fug it.
The rest shot good. As to the accuracy, it's more accurate than I am. :D
8 yards or 24 feet:

CCI Mini-Mag and Stingers are my primary ammo for the G44, and work flawlessly. When I tried cheap bulk stuff, I was getting aprx one malfunction from nearly every 10rd mag...but unfortunately that's not uncommon, enjoy that new pistol
Ken
I forgot I shot some Federal red box bulk hollow points. They did good. The Thunderbolts has some power to it. I haven't tried the Winchester white box bulk HPs yet. I also have a shipment of 1500 rnds of Aguila Super Extra HPs coming in tomorrow.
I bet the Aguila will work well...Enjoy!
I've never heard of anyone going from a 10 down to a .22, though the ammo is a lot easier to come by with a .22.
Have fun with it! .22's are a hoot to shoot!
Forgot about this thread. Finally got the M9-22 at Bud's for $330. 8)
