Title: Springfield Armory HELLCAT receives Gold award

I've been looking at the Springfield HC from day one. They appear to be as durable and reliable as I thought they were : )

Wife is on waiting list for one, hopefully in the next couple weeks they expect to have it in store.

I was pretty impressed fondling their range rental last Monday, but didn't have time to try it out.

For sure, I haven't shot one yet, but a Buddy of mine thinks it is a keeper to be sure

I bought two S&W M&P Shields back when they were selling the Gen 1's for under $200 with rebate.  I got one in 9mm and one in 45 ACP.  I carry the 45 ACP about once a week, and am always aware that I only have six rounds.

I have been looking hard at a Hellcat for a similar sized package, but with far more rounds.

For sure, that's what I really like about my XDm 3.8 - 9, it's relatively small, but still have 19 rd's with the extended magazine
Thanks

Ken

The Hellcat will add 50% over the shield 9mm with the shorty magazine.  I hope it never matters.

Absolutely, I had a shield in 9mm a few years ago. It was 100% reliable, but couldn't hit the broad Side of a barn with it. Not sure what the problem was, but ended up trading it
