Better than 200-220 HC?

Cool. Thanks for posting. Another factory loaded option. Looks like maybe proprietary powder coated hard cast? It will be interesting to see the velocity on these.

I wonder if this new "jacket" is anything like the old Black Talons that went thru armor real easy? My brother still has a bunch of the Black Talons. I'm not a fan of the BL ammo. It was not a dependable bullet. But if it hit a bone, it was a meat cutter. Otherwise saw a lot of fails on coyotes. The Syntech coating on a solid core sure sounds ominous.

Looks like a good load for NJ. Non expanding. I might consider carrying this in the woods, where it's being marketed as one can tell from the packaging.

It seems cool and I always like to try new things.

I wonder what it does that the Hi-Tech coating Underwood uses does not? Does it cause less friction and thus make the bullet faster with the same powder charge? I'm sure we will see some tests out there eventually.

It's probably a follow-on to the old Nyclad ammo that Federal took over from the now defunct S&W line (loaded by Fiocchi, IIRC). It's a nylon jacket over a lead core, basically. Nothing really fancy, but it will stop leading.

I picked up a couple boxes of these last week and got to try them out on Wednesday.  Pleasantly surprised.  The were very accurate at 25 yards out of both my Ruger Nightwatchman and my Kimber TLE.  Less than 2" from the bench out of both guns. Not obnoxious as far as recoil and muzzle blast goes either.

1,200 FPS according to Federal, look like they have potential
