Title: Hornady 200gr. XTP Hog Load?
Post by: Star Child on January 16 2020 11:54:09 AM MST
Have a lot of feral hogs in the area!  I have some Hornady 200gr. XTP bullets and BE-86 what would be a good hog load for the Glock G20?  Do you think the 200gr. XTP will out preform the 180gr. XTP?  Thanks much!

BE-86 8.4 grains CCI 300 would be about 1230 fps seated to 1.2600"...I run a 22 lbs non captive spring for my G-20SF

Thanks Shadow, would this load be safe for the Glock G20 Gen4 without the 22 lbs spring?

It should be good to go... recent UW ammo showed even more BE-86

Is it safe to assume a 200gr Speet  GD with the same BE-86 charge would be good as well : )

I've seen the XTP hold together a bit more with speed than the Gold dot bullet, tho prob no reason why it wouldn't work.
