Title: Glock G29 Chronograph
Post by: Star Child on January 07 2020 10:32:25 AM MST
I chronographed some loads through my Glock G29.

               10mm AUTO

1.  180gr. XTP - 10.2gr. Bluedot = 1,150 fps.

2.  180gr. XTP - 8.3gr. BE-86 = 1,180 fps.

3.  180gr. XTP - 8.0gr. BE-86 = 1,133 fps.

4.  Hornady Custom Ammo with 180gr. XTP = 1,100 fps.

5.  Hornady Critical Duty with 175gr. Flex lock = 1,075 fps.

Interesting data, thanks.
Did you do any accuracy testing with these loads?
Wouldn't be surprised if accuracy was also superior to factory rounds.

Star Child, great results from the short barrel of the G-29 and right where they should be for those loadings... 8)

No I didn't get to do any real accuracy testing with these loads.  The 8.0gr. of BE-86 with the 180gr. XTP. did seem fairly accurate.

Star Child, Thanks for the chrono results. This helps me a lot as I currently do not have a way to check my loads

Pretty well mirrors my barrel and BlueDot too!

I have been watching for a ported ext barrel for the G29. I have a LE for my G20 and like it for some
Loads.

The factory barre and rifling seems quite forgiving and attains good velocities compared to 6" barrels I have.
