Title: 450 Bushmaster loads
Post by: Pctechdude on September 10 2019 02:46:44 PM MDT
Anyone here load 450 Bushmaster? Looking to use the 250gr Hornady bullet. I know h110 and little gun are pretty much the top powders. Also possibly looking at a Barnes solid copper hollow point option.

Any input would be appreciated.

Gun is a Mossberg Patriot predator with 20" barrel.

Hodgdon has data for the 450 BushMaster using IMR4227 / H-110 / Lil'Gun / Heavier bullet adding the CFE Black / H4198

I liked Lil"Gun in the 458SOCOM

I do. I have an American Tactical AR with a 16" barrel. I've only loaded the 250 grain FTX using 37.5 grains of Lil Gun. I have not ran these over a chrono yet. I have also purchased some of the Federal Premium Non Typical with 300 grain bullet. Looks look like a Speer Gold Dot. I have been thinking about that bullet too. The Federal Fusion 260 grain for the 450BM are pretty good rounds. SGAMMO is the best place I have found for pricing on factory ammo.
