Title: So Walmart is dropping most ammo
Post by: Intercooler on September 03 2019 05:10:08 PM MDT
I don't really watch any of his videos anymore, but this one popped up and was a little shocking! No pistol ammo now, only rifle and shotgun in HUNTING CALIBERS with the firearms limited to the same.

Who shops at that crap hole anyway?

Pressure on corporations will continue.

Liberals are not interested in facts or solutions just complete control of the sheep.

Every gun owner in America should speak with their money and tell WalMart kma for caving to political pressure.

Yup.  My dad used to say, "my money spends anywhere".  There was a day when Walmart had a spine but that day has obviously passed.  Walmart's day as king of the of hill has passed anyway.  I am only happy to speed their down hill trip up a bit.  Besides... those who hate freedom and our way of life really piss me off!

Chatted with the guy in Walmart sporting goods in my area. He said his store will be out of guns and all ammo. They have all of their ammo on sale at clearance numbers today. A box of Remington 30-30 150gr Core Loks at $9.95 a box of 20, as an example.

Anyone remember when Rosie O'Donnell went on her anti gun kick as the spokesperson for Kmart? Kmart went down the same road removing pistol ammo and .22s from their shelves. Perhaps not entirely for this reason, but look at Kmart now.

It wouldn't bother me in the least to see Walmart disappear. The first thing Sam Walton's heirs did after his passing was cancel his "made in America" sales campaign and start sourcing their products overseas. Funny that old Sam could build the biggest retail chain in American selling American made goods but his heirs just couldn't keep it that way. Screw them.

Yeah, and now Kroger is asking people not to carry in their stores.  They just created a new national target for bad guys since no one will be armed in the stores................

Actually, Kroger is asking people to not open carry. I like that a couple of Bloomberg sponsored groups tried to pressure Kroger into banning guns and the Kroger people told them to pound sand in the past.

I think it is funny how they can define handgun and assault-style rifle ammo.  I tell my non-gun friends that this is like seeing the local gas station stop selling "motorcycle gas".

Apparently several corporations are now asking people to not open carry.  Fine, I don't OC anyway.
BUT the CEO of Walmart is pushing for a renewal of the assault weapons ban and has snuggled up with Bloomberg.

This issue becomes less funny every time I open up my browser.  Remember that this is all virtue signaling to the libtards that want a $20/hour minimum wage and punitive income taxes on billionaires like the Walton family.

Thanks for that link, Rick R. I noticed that "Doug" uses "we" an awful lot. I also notice that he's willing to lose some market share and limit our 2nd amendment rights rather that put some actual security at the front doors. Tasking unarmed employees with "politely" confronting open carriers sounds like a great idea, unless that person actually encounters a mass shooter. Apparently the concern for the safety of the associates doesn't apply to that one in the scenario that this claims they are trying to prevent.

Vote with your money guys, it makes a difference when many of us do it.

I'd been starting to shop at wal-mart more the last few years but now I wrote them and explained because they are limiting handgun ammunition sales and I am a 2nd Amendment person, I will no longer shop there.

If you think about it, it's pretty weak they would do this after a shooting. If their logic were sound then they should have made the policy during another shooting.

I can understand some stores would think open carry scares people but they allow conceal carry. The main issue here is Wal-Mart is making an anti-second-amendment statement by implying that guns should ONLY be used for hunting.

Don't care. Don't shop at Walmart and haven't for the last 10 years. Their parking lots suck because of their clientele. You have to be worried about leaving your car in the parking lot and wonder if will still be there when you get back, or wonder if someone hit it and took off, or burglarized it and stole your stuff. Also, because of their clientele, the parking lot is full of land mines in the form of soiled diapers that people intentionally dumped in the lot.  :-[  It amazes me why anyone would shop there, except for illegal aliens and ghetto dwellers.

I'm one of the people who hasn't spent a dime in a Walmart since Old Man Walton died. What his heirs have done to the corporation is a travesty to the Walton name. So if they slide a little further down over this, I don't care.

Dick's Sporting Goods did the same thing with assault weapons first, and now they are eliminating ALL firearms from some of their stores- eventually all of them. In a recent interview Ed Stack, CEO of Dick's and son of the founder, said that if individuals won't make decisions then corporations have to do it for them. His removal of assault weapons cost the company $250,000,000. Yes, that's "ONE QUARTER OF A BILLION" in sales and destroyed merchandise. He says he is willing to take a bigger financial hit to control gun ownership in this country.

I don't care either way. Personally, I never had a use for Dick's, Sam Walton's passing changed the demographic of Walmart's customer base, and I will still fight for my rights  regardless of what corporations do.

Was in my local Walmart yesterday. All guns, ammo, anything gun related is gone including slings, scopes, cleaning kits, etc. I'm going to assume that the decision as to what they sell is somewhat controlled by the sporting goods manager. My nephew says his Walmart is out of guns and is having fire sales on ammo but everything else is being restocked. I've personally never shopped Walmart for anything gun related. My local gunshop is cheaper.
In regards to Dicks, I've only been in their store once right after they opened their first location here. All I saw was grossly over priced clothes. The gun counter prices were so high I could buy the same gun at my local gunshop and save 30-40%. I've never bothered to go back. If Dicks closed up I wouldn't even notice they're gone. They don't do much business here.
