I am new to this forum but why do we not have a classified thread for 10mm and 10 mm only guns,ammo,mags,holsters etc. I know some of us have things we would like to find and some of us have things we no longer need. Yes it has to be policed as someone will want to trade a 9mm for a 10mm. I am talking ONLY 10mm related items. And I will be happy to be educated as to why we do not have the thread. I am just asking.
Last update I had was simply that we hadn't implemented it yet.
However, to your point, this brings in a whole new level of complexity. Currently the forum is pretty straightforward with an admin and two moderators. We would need to put together a whole list of rules and then figure out how we are going to enforce them without rustling too many feathers.
There can also be some legal ramifications with the selling of items which need to go thru FFL's or other methods as items cross state lines or sent thru the mail.
The classifieds section will be at the digression of the forum's owner, if he decides to entertain that responsibility.
But I must say this forum has been one that doesn't have all the BS, bickering and fighting that I see on other forums. I would like to see that 10mm Firearms Foum remains the great forum that it is. Everyone seems to be enjoying it for all it has to offer.

I understand the merits of the KISS principal (keep it simple stupid). By the same token IMO this site at some point should have a 10mm Related Only classified section. Whether we ever get one or not will have no bearing on my interest being here though. Greatest website for the 10mm Auto enthusiast on the WWW! 8)
I can say that a classified section is still in my plans for this website, and I would have done it by now if we weren't facing the issues we are with the anti-gun people. Specifically, I have been waiting to see what laws are going to pass as far as private sales, and most importantly, internet sales. My lawyer is mostly concerned with individual states passing their own laws which would really make things difficult. If no law passes over the next few weeks, I will probably go ahead and add the classified section until they force me to take it down.
Good Idea. It's hard to be too careful.
The big concern I think you really face is not legality or real liability, but the threat of frivolous prosecution either criminally or civilly.
Especially in the civil arena, anyone can sue you. They don't have to have real standing or grounds, and you have the burden of response, which can be expensive.
I think, for me personally, as nice as it would be to have a classified section, I would rather not risk the community unless your attorney can mitigate that risk substantially.
You are the one that is having those conversations, and I will completely support and enjoy classifieds if/when they arrive. But if they don't, I certainly understand.
I understand all concerns. Shows you the world you live in. There are many classified sites. You cannot just sell a gun. It goes dealer to dealer and that is their business to make sure the checks and balances are done. Someday soon all we may have is talk on the forums. But I respect the site owners choice and will enjoy this site with or without the extra thread. It is just very hard to find and share 10mm anything except here on the net. I probably have the only 10mm in my town and maybe county.Makes ammo either real easy to get or real hard. LOL
