Those Nosler 135 grain bullets are not bonded so yes they do shed a lot of petals and core material as they open up.  All in all they do work fairly well but tent to be shallow when driven hard.
I had and old testing of the UW 135 that after I documented the load, Tested Velocity: 1738 fps from the S&W 1006 5" BBL.  This was back when they were loading with 800X.  UW did load some with Longshot powder briefly.  More recent loads were with Shooter's World MAJOR PISTOL which is LOVEX D037-01, and is close to the Accurate #7 powder by weight and performance.  The ones you tested were likely loaded with the MAJOR PISTOL.
The longer barrels do add to the velocity performance overall.  I feel that the 6" test was so close to the other bullet path that it may have lessen the resistance affect and allowed slightly more penetration...just a speculation.  As always another great video and many thanks!

Thanks for the interesting test.

Those may come up short in gel by an inch or two but imagine how horrible it would be to get shot by one with it shedding all those pieces! ER doctor would be very angry at you.

As usual, a clear and concise vid with no straying from the subject matter. You could give lessons on how to make vids, my friend.
As a aficionado of the lighter weight bullets in almost all rounds, the 135 gr bullets in my R1 10mm have eluded me with accuracy. Might have to give the UW ammo a try. The Nosler 135gr comes out of my 40SW Baby Eagle like it thinks it's a match target round. Unfortunately I haven't gotten those same results from the 10mm....yet. Thanks for the vid. Always interesting.

Good shooting and good video sir.  Though I shoot mostly Glock's now, my first love has always been revolvers.  And I really appreciate that the video shows you know how to should double action.  It is nearly a lost art and refreshing to see it done well.

Thanks for the support, I hope someone finds the data interesting and that they may make the right decision about ammo for the right use case.

Spud what's the matter afraid to try a revolver again, might it bring back some of those old feelings  :D cmon Spud everyone needs to have at least one revolver.
