I am convinced that lurking just below the mature facade of a grown man is the mentality of a thirteen year old boy. We spend mental energy each day ensuring that the boy submits to the will of the man, and most of our behavior suggests that we have outgrown that awkward and irrational stage of life.
But sometimes...
Sometimes he gets out. Just for a few minutes. And when we finally cage him again we are left wondering about ourselves.
My inner thirteen year old got out last Thursday.

No, I haven't been to the range with it yet. In addition to the 50 AE barrel, I have a 44 mag barrel and a 429 DE barrel. Brass is en route from starline and reloading dies for 50 are in hand with 429 DE dies also on the way.
Any other Desert Eagle owners out there with advice?
Well well! 8) While I don't have a DE gun they are Gas Hogs...by that I mean they like plenty gas volume to operate their action. The slower powders tend to work well to produce the volume of gas.
That said the gas port needs to stay clean to also help the reliable cycling of the action, other than that they can be a hoot to shoot! Heavy Large Bullets can get costly to shoot while you are feeding that beast! ;D ;D
It's good to be a boy again. I miss fighting the recoil to pull the gun out of the sky. Being sensible is not necessarily good for the soul. It was not a
DE for me but I hope it brings big smiles to your face. Enjoy. Please post a video if you can fit the DE and your smile in the same video.
Well that looks like fun :D I passed on the .44mag version of one a few years ago that was a good deal. Still regret it, just a little. Let us know how it shoots!
I have a 44 pimp model; polished SS. I haven't shot it in years.
I had a 357 model that I loved. Yeah, I know, I used to turn my nose up on that one too. But I got deal on it that I couldn't pass up. It really tamed full power 357s well and was enjoyable to shoot. It got stolen.
If I could get a killer deal on a 50, I'd probably get it, just because of those two numbers, five oh.
I now have brass, bullets and dies in hand. And a trip out of town for a week. Hopefully I will get to the range next Saturday.
