Seem about right at 8.0grs 1143 FPS?
Double Tap says;
Ballistics : 1250fps / 694ft lbs. muzzle - 5"bbl
Glock 29 - 1195fps Muzzle
Not surprising they still fudge the numbers. Intercooler; Did you chrono these at 1143fps? I didn't see them listed on your Master Sheet.
Otherwise, yeah, with 8 grains of Longshot is seems about right. And plenty safe. Certainly not enough to hit 1250fps from a 5" barrel of any kind. It urks me that they fudge the numbers to such an extent.
Sure would like to see this load shot into gel.

That is tight!
When rolling my own I generally crimp to .422-.423 inches.

DRSJR got them at 1164.
Yea 1156 FPS last week:

They didn't even hit the box flap for a 5" barrel in a 6" barrel. :o

That's Double Tap's 10mm 200 grain XTP bullet load. This pull down is of the 200 grain Nosler bullet.
Yea David hasn't done these yet but bet you pull the XTP and it's the same thing.
I thought they switched out their XTP's for Noslers a while ago.
Anyhoo, I wouldn't mind a 200 grain XTP at 1160.
At one point Double Tap did swap out premium hollow point bullets with Montana Gold hollow point bullets. They may have reversed that practice again, I'm not sure.
To my knowledge Double Tap never used Nosler's bullet in place of any other, and only added Nosler bullets over time.
As a cost measure I am sure. Nosler's are a good bit cheaper than most other brand name hollow points. That is what keeps them on my reloading shelf.
See soon enough how they do in gel. That should tell if the Nosler 200gr is worth any real use.
Yeah, I'm really curious to see those results.
This is one of the ones I'm most interested in. It's also nice to see that they are REAL close in velocity to the 200 gr XTP hand load I tested so the only significant variable would be the bullet itself. Thanks to The Shadow, it looks like this load would be easy to replicate safely, too.
200 gr XTP at about 1,140 fps:
Raggedyman, Once again thanks for the video. 8) With the Hornady 200gr XTP's, I do load them to 9.4 grains of IMR800X that duplicates the Underwood load @ 1240-1260 fps. I stop there as my max for my guns as they are setup!
I think Intercooler sent me some Underwood 200 gr XTP, too so it will be interesting to see what the bullet does at 100 fps faster.
Let em rip!
Any more info on the 200 grain noslers. I really like what I see out of the bullet so far.
Tested fro the S&W1006 5" June 8, 2013
Double Tap 200gr Nosler JHP 1179 fps / 1166 fps
Real close to what I got and not near advertised.
