So when I got this g20 it came with a stock barrel a stormlake ported barrel .
Not yet owning a chronograph I'm curious does anyone have any idea what kind of velocities this would do next to a non ported 6" barrel all things being equal?
Personally I'd have gone with a non ported myself but as I said it came with the deal and I was thinking of using it for a hunting barrel but I'm not sure with those holes whether I'd just as well cut it down to stock length and carry it in there standard cause the chamber support is Awsom on my case life .
Also it shoots low with that ported
Doe69936 welcome to the forum! You will likely see very near the same velocity from the ported as the non ported. maybe 25 to 35 fps less depending on the powder used and bullet weight and style.
Best regards!

I have Magnaported a few revolvers and always found the MV loss to be in the range of 20 fps.
