Title: New EAA Witness prototype guide rod trial
Post by: Intercooler on May 12 2019 06:43:23 AM MDT
New prototype guide rod was sent to me for the Witness pistols. I hope to get it installed on the Hunter today (pictures to follow). The plan is to shoot 10mm and 9x25 Dillon with it in place here shortly.

This is how it works: We have a new smaller diameter guide rod with an 8 pound counter-wound inner spring.  You can couple it with any OEM spring or Wolff spring to boost the spring rate by 8 pounds.
If you couple it with a standard OEM 10mm 14 pound spring, you'll be at 22 pounds.

For the longest time I have wanted to .460 Rowland convert a .45ACP Hunter. This spring setup would give you 30lbs when coupled with a 22lb Wolff spring. That should be enough to handle any .460 Rowland round made!

Glad to see you got that from Tony Rumore, will be interesting to see what you think and observe as you get some range time...
The weather has been a mess down here, when it gets better we have so much to catch up on!  Good luck!

I sent him a message about it. I think I'm missing a piece  :o  It doesn't work with the components pictured.
