So I hadn't really looked into .460 Rowland before but it seems to be a pretty interesting caliber. You can push a 230gr JHP 1400fps and a 255gr .45 caliber hardcast 1200fps. Later when I've shot another few thousand rounds through my 10mm I may get a GLock 21 and convert it to .460 Rowland for open carrying. I'm not sure if it can do anything a 10mm cannot do, but I do think it is an interesting caliber.

Great caliber. On most conversions you can download and get close to 45 acp performance so you can customize your loads for all sorts of situation. You will need to test to see how low you can go. Only downside is the comp makes the conversion pretty long. A chest rig eliminates this drawback.
I too have looked at the 460. Some very cool vids from Johnny Rowland.
I feel that it's the ultimate woods handgun.
I have a Glock 21 long slide in 460 Rowland. I can't remember the velocities I got with 230 grain Gold Dots but it was in the 1400'ish range.
It's a handful. I have the heaviest recoil assembly I could find (24 or 26# I can't recall) and it's still stout. I don't shoot a compensator on it as I don't want the extra noise but I have shot it suppressed.
I bought it as a companion to my 10mm long slide that I hunt with but I haven't killed anything with it yet. Both of them wear an RMR now.

Who's conversion? From what I have read the comp is required to keep your slide from battering the frame. My XD conversion uses the stock recoil spring.

The slide, recoil assembly and barrel are all Lone Wolf.
If it cracks the frame I'll just buy another one. They are cheap. And it's not a high volume shooter for sure.
