Morning, I will be picking up a XDm 9mm on Saturday. From what I can tell, most are very happy with this weapon...Thoughts
Thanks
Ken
I am very happy with my XDM 10mm. I've only had it for a few weeks and have put about 600 rounds through it. the more I shoot it the more I like it. ;D I am sure you will be happy with yours. 8)
Yep, that seems to be the general consequence with the XDm in most any caliber
Thanks
Ken
The only XD-M I have is the 10mm which I just got at the end of Dec., and since I haven't shot it so much, I cannot comment on that other than so far, so good...
BUT I do own 3 XD's (what is the difference, only the grip insert changeability on the M, & the 4.5" bbl length, right?) and I honestly like every one of them.
I have the XD sub-compacts in 9mm & 40S&W, and both of them shoot awesome for a little 3" barreled autos (especially the 9mm one).
I love the subs with the extended/grip-sleeved mags in them. They are so well balanced with the bigger mags they feel like little machine pistols... LoL... ( I WISH!)
I have the XD 4" model in .45ACP and I have shot the snot out of that one, both suppressed and unsuppressed and it too is accurate and performs like a trooper. I used this gun when I did 4 days of training down at Shootrite in AL.; probably put at least 800 rounds through that gun in the 4 days shooting anywhere from 3 feet to 25+yards and I didn't have one hiccup. At night I just ran a brush through the bore, wiped any heavy residue from the slide rails/guide rod and CLP'd it back up for the next day worth of shooting.
Some people like to give the XD grief as being crap guns, but from my experience, I can't figure WTF they are talking about...
The 1911 type grip angle is way more pointable for me than any Glock I own or even have owned, and the reliability/accuracy has been excellent on my guns.
I'm just hoping the new XDM 10mm can live up to it's older brothers! LoL...
:))
I love my XDM9. I have the 4.5" OSP version topped with a Vortex Venom. It is and accurate beast. If Safariland will make a light bearing holster with the optic, it will become my primary duty gun. I am sure you will love it.
Thanks folks, picked it up this morning and is an awesome addition to my collection, not to mention an easy, accurate, and effortless weapon to shoot. I haven't shot a 9 in a while and loved it 😀
