Has anyone tried this combination  G 40 With Lone Wolf Guide Rod?  How was reliability?  What spring weight did you use?

On one of my G22s I had a problem with a LW FL guide rod that came without a washer behind the end-screw.

The problem was the diameter of the screw head was smaller than the cutout/hole in the factory slide (and its supposed to be) but the screw's shoulder would frequently catch on the front face of the slide just before lockup, so the slide had @ 1/8" of unsprung free play in the battery position when this happened.
To fix it I just found the right sized washer to fit the slide hole and drilled it to fit behind the screw on the guide rod.

I notice they are marketing that "adapter" now which I am sure addresses the problem I had (ironically, that pic on the web page with the adapter shows it being used in a G22)...

That's about it...

Im running the lw adapter insert and i drilled it out for the wolff guide rod.  Im running the wolff 24lb spring.
