Hello
Finished up looking at these new powders Sport Pistol, 244, IMR Target and Winchester 572 in 10mm. I've taken each out as far as I want to go in the stock G20-SF barrel. This is a part II from this;

So here is how it all broke down.
Sport Pistol did Ok. It's a fast powder and has limited use in 10mm, save a American Eagle 180gr, and the like, factory load duplication. Max is 6.9 grs. In the stock barrel.
244 shot some nice groups. It also has limited use in 10mm, same as Sport Pistol. Max is also 6.9 grs.
IMR Target has proven itself quite remarkable in 10mm, 40 S&W and 38 Special. I was able to take it all the way out to 7.2 grs. without any troublesome pressure spikes. However I would like to see how this powder behaves in warmer weather. We might see something very different with regard to pressure. Until then I'll call max as 6.9 grs. for now.
Winchester 572 looks good for a medium load with 180gr bullets. Its burn rate is close to Unique, and Herco. Again, until I see how it performs in warmer weather I'll call max as 8.0grs. for now.
Just for kicks I put together some rounds with Red Dot. I wanted to see how this old war horse did in 10mm. 6.6grs. is as far as I would go with Red Dot with the 180gr FMJ. I would have stopped at 6.9grs. but didn't measure the brass after shooting. 7.2 was way too hot with smileys. Red Dot gets right with it with pressure.. No kiddin around. So, 6.6grs is absolute max.

Well that's about it.. Not too terribly exciting. But you'll have a good idea what to expect from these powders should you wind up with some.
Thanks again for another great range report RDub01.
Yes, thanks so much...an incredible amount of work!
