I have used GUNBROKER & ARMSLIST, but never GUNS.COM
Please share your experiences on GUNS.COM with me.
Thanks
Terry
I've also used AuctionArms.com but never heard of guns.com
I hadn't heard of it before today either.
It appears to be more like a dealer network rather than a true auction site. That is neither good nor bad as long as you know what you are getting. Probably a bit more professional on the transaction side, but not likely to have the same breadth of inventory.
For instance....I went to semi-auto handguns and filtered for 10mm. I got 17 matches at guns.com. Gunbroker.com with the same filter returned 852 matches. In fairness, guns.com redacted duplicates from the list by showing a single Sig P220 entry with "prices from". But on drill on there were only two, and I had to drill into the list to get details. Also, the Manufacturers list did not auto filter down after I selected 10mm, leaving the possiblity of a filter with no results, like 10mm and HK.
If you find a deal there, I see no reason not to buy from them.
Yep, a buddy of my has bought from them, they just send it to one of there in network folks, not sure if they will send it to any FFL or not
Thanks guys for your help.
I decided to call them and talk to them BEFORE buying. The conversation made me feel more at ease with them. They told me that they were a new service thats tied into LUCKYGUNNER.
Apparently they have some guns in their store, others are at various other shops that subscribe to their service.
Overall, I was happy with their performance, with 1 exception. I would receive 10-12 emails a day saying that it had shipped, yet checking the tracking showed that USPS had not even taken possession.
I called them and got the skinny, but the emails were part of their program and could not be changed. It was quite annoying.
