Looking for recommendations for changing out factory sights on my Glock 40. My primary use is going to be for hunting and bear protection in brown bear country in Alaska. Prefer iron vs optics. Don't necessarily need night sights but probably wouldn't hunt. Look forward to your comments and advice. By the way this my first post since signing up yesterday.
Thanks,
csnider
Take a look at what Warren Tactical has to offer, have them on my G20, and G30, and really like then

Kenk,
Thanks for your input. I will definitely check the out.

yabetcha, I really like mine
For defense, four legged or two, I like the extra eye-grab an illuminated sight provides. I have these on my G-20 and G29:

Looks like they will fit your G40 as well.
I plan on moving to RMR sights in the near future though.
If you are not wanting a red dot, then Fiber Optics are the way to go. I would stick with just the front sight for quick acquisition should the bear poop hit the fan.
FWIW, I stayed away from red dots for a long time, now that I have them, I wished I had done it sooner.
