When all this panic started my reloading supply cupboard was in pretty good shape except for 10mm bullets. I could find 100 here, maybe another 100 there, but nothing to get the shelves looking good. I would run through my list of favorite suppliers every evening without much success until a week ago. I hit the MidSouth site and look what I found.

BINGO! 1900 pcs. Hornady 180 gr. HAP's. I definitely feel better now. It sure would be a shame to have this new NH Talon sitting here with nothing to feed it. MidSouth's inventory vanished in a few hours. All 10mm/40 jacketed bullets were listed as back ordered again.
There are times when even fat kids get lucky! :D ;D
I just had an order for 1000 filled from Precision Bullets. If he runs out, he just makes more! Might take a month to get them (these one's did), but he always comes through.
Here's two targets from my reloads using his 40 cal 185 grain bullets.
First, from my SIG P-229 in .40 cal S&W. ( I also have the .357 SIG barrel I can swap and use with it)

Second in 10mm using my Dan Wesson Razorback.

Nothing wrong with the accuracy of these babies!
Nice! I have a few 200 gr HAPs that I plan to do a gel test with shortly. As you know, HAPs are not designed to expand, but I believe they will at 10mm velocity. I did shoot one into gelatin a while ago but the conditions weren't controlled enough or well enough recorded for me to post a video. It did expand. Next time I'll be sure to do a more formal test.
