I wish somebody made a pistol beefy enough to fire both 10mm or 40 cal S&W like my SIG P229 does with a mere barrel swap. Maybe just a different set of springs, instead. The only convertibles I seen demand you swap the whole slide, which is what I want to avoid.
A Glock 21 will, same slide and all. Everything from 9mm (Luger, .38 Super, and Dillon) to .460 Rowland, and everything in between. Barrels, springs, and sometimes an extractor is all that's needed.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding but a Glock 20 can shoot .40cal, .357sig and 9x25dillon by simply swapping in a suitable conversion barrel....
The G-29 also will work with conversion barrels as will the S&W 10XX series 3rd gen with conversions barrels (but getting barrels are the issue here) 8)

Correct. Common cartridges from 9mmX up to .40 caliber. If you had a barrel made for it, maybe even 7.62x25. Hmmmmm. I may have to look into that.....

Let me repeat my first post, except to say EXCLUDE GLOCKS!
I have yet to hold any Glock model that feels comfortable in my fall, short fingered hand like a SIG or a 1911.
Witness can change calibers with just a barrel swap. To get 357 sig or 9X25 you will have to buy a 38 super barrel and have it reamed, and they will require some minor fitting.
1911's are the same deal.
I expect you could shoot 9mm in all these too.
Difficulty/expense level is only getting the barrels.
Here is a picture of my Two Bar-Sto Match Grade 5" barrels one in 40S&W the other 9x25Dillon...(Bar-Sto quit making them).

I am waiting on a 6.00" 9x25, a 5.00" 357Sig and a 40S&W and a 357Sig 4.25" conversion to be finished machined for the S&W 10xx series guns, from Bad Man One of the S&W forum. He is a retired master machinist but is awaiting on getting access to the CNC machines to finish what he started.
These are my G-29 barrels, very versatile package...

Currently, my 10mm crush is a Ruger GP-100 converted to shoot 10mm/40 in moon clips.
I have to 1) aquire said GP 100 and 2) Get a smith to convert it, the only one i have read of doing it is not accepting new work

IMO that is a cool set-up. Especially with the 6" barreled version.

Now let me add also I do not want to deal with either Glocks or have to deal with moon clips.
I tend to agree in regard to moon clips.
I have a Dan Wesson CBOB that came in 10mm and I bought a .40 S&W barrel and spring for a quick conversion. Gary
captqc, Welcome to the forum! It is nice to have the conversion barrels to add to your shooting versatility, especially in times like this with the shortages... :'(
Best regards! ;D
Just want to make sure I don't do something stupid, I have a G22 and a G20. Could I take the barrel out of the 22 and place in the 20 to shoot .40S&W, or is a seperate conversion barrel needed?
NO! The barrels of Glocks have different geometry for one model to another...example G20 and the G29 are different and not interchangeable. However companies like Lone Wolf Dist., Storm Lake, Bar-Sto and KKM do make some aftermarket conversion barrel configurations for various models of guns! 8)

I kind of figured that no was the anwser and one had to get the conversion barrel. This goes to prove the only question not asked is the dumb one.
Thanks for the reply Shadow.

Then buy the Witness in 10mm and a Witness .40Cal Barrel and Magazine and you're good to go
Also a 9 Dillon or .357 Sig will run with the Witness 10mm Slide

I wouldn't think so.
