Title: What's the deal with magazines???
Post by: cwlongshot on February 05 2013 06:16:22 AM MST
I have been patiently waiting for some 15 round G20 mags on Midsouth, Midway and Natchez.

Natchez got a few in Saturday. But very early Sunday AM they where gone. Midway claimed to have some for yesterday. But the listing went from overdue to now freaking April...

I have net herd from midsouth.

I was able to bolster my 19 & 23 mags but not the 20.  I really want at least two more but three or even four would be better!!

Any "leads" would be GREATLY appreciated... I'll pay a fair price, UNDER 40$ each. Less for used.

I fear April is gonna be too late...

Are you in NY? I assume that if you are you are law enforcement sot hat you can have high cap mags. If not...what happens in April?

I think CW is in Connecticut...

I have no leads for you. I back-ordered some P-mags from midway, and they came about a week ago.  You may want to get backordered where you can.

Correct I'm in CT.  April is when many new laws take effect.

Back order is not available at the dealers I have looked.

It's annoying as I have not looked hard for about a month waiting for a promise I received from Midway. The mags where to have been here first of feb.... Now they are pushed back to mid April.

I KNOW some local GS has some somewhere.....

I added two to my cart, then decided to hold off.

Then I got my check and there was an unexpected bonus.  So I ordered three.  If the wife asks I will just thank her for the great valentines present.

Isn't Botach notorious for taking folk's money and not shipping for months?

Anyways, Natchez has them again. Just got an email from em.

That may have been a problem in the past but I've ordered a lot from them over the past two years and never had any issues.

I prefer Graf and Sons, Midway, and Brownells, since the all give me dealer's discount prices for having a C&R License on file with them.

FYI: The G20 mags I ordered from bo tach tactical arrived today - 13 calendar days from order to receipt.

I am happy to be good on Glock mags now ... at least until I get that G21 Gen4 I'm after :-)

What did you expect? I knew if Obummer got re-elected he would cause another round of panic buying/hoarding!

I started in resupplying everything including reloading stuff about last September. Good thing since Powder Valley where I get my powders and primers is out of stock on just about all of them.

Well it happened again.....

Last time this happened I said to my self, self... This sux! How can these mag be sold out so flippin fast?!?  Well what I figure is the email that goes out to People to show product is in, happens after the product is listed. So as much as I can I simply go to the site and check. I do this at least three times a day. Many times more! As a matter of fact, I was just checking at noon and I checked first this today when I check mail for first time. Say 6AM... No stock shown....

This time I got the email while I was at my desk... I closed and saved my paper work, clicked the link to Midway and bam. OUT OF STOCK.... 7 maybe 8 minutes. How flippin fast do you need to be?????

Just griping.... I don't really "need" more. But two more mags would fill me out really nicely.

I gotta be close, assuming that they are slow in sending out those announcement emails... I cannot imagination they would bother if they only got a dozen or so mags... Is it possible they are trickling in like that at a place like Midway?? They MUST get at least a case at a time.....

That email from Midway is worthless on Glock mags and most cheap 10mm ammo. I just happened to be on the site the other night. Prvi 10mm shows up for 20.99 limit 10. I order 10 boxes and in 5 minutes they were sold out. You have dealers buying from anywhere they can get ammo for their stores and customers and then jacking the price. Good business but makes it tough to get items. And I am not being disrespectful if you are a dealer. You got to do what you got to do.I search everyday so I know what is where and right now 10mm ammo is hard to find under 80 cents per round and Glock mags are there but you just have to get lucky and most dealers are charging 39.99 and some much higher. Imagine if this bill even gets close to passing. 39.99 will look like a bargin and ammo well seems the 10mm is always out there, its high but available.I guess that is an advantage of loving a caliber everybody else does not like. And I like the heck out of all of mine.

Getting frustrating.  Just got another product arrival notification.  Got on the Midway site and found them in-stock.  Selected 2 of them since the limit was set at 2.  Went through all the steps up to final confirmation and then got a message that said the limit is 1 and that I had to change quantities.  Changed the quantity to 1 and went through the checkout again.  At the point of confirming the order, a message stated that my order could not be completed...sold out.  I guess I have to type faster next time.

Guys I just need to tell you about this order... I decided to go home for a early dinner with my wife, because I have allot to finish tonight before I am done... (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/CWLONGSHOT/Graemlins/ATT00000.gif)

There is a box on the stoop... Its very light and from Target Sports. Taking Driftwood's comment in check. (I agree shipping is a bit hi) My wife has always told me I have more money than patience and it is true... My magazines are in my hand!!  This is faster even than Midway when they are not busy!! I ordered these on the 12 today is the 14th and everything is complete... We ALL know how busy retailers are in our industry!!

I have to say and will be emailing this company later to thank them as well. This company just earned my loyalty!! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/CWLONGSHOT/Graemlins/thumbsupsmiley.gif)

Shipping for 2 mags to TN is 16.00. Thats a bit much.Adds 8.00 to cost of mag. I like the idea of fast shipping but I can find them for the same price with no limit and true shipping.Glad you got them but if they are going to charge that much to ship the limit should at least be 5. Just an opinion.
