Title: Those were the days
Post by: sqlbullet on January 06 2013 03:06:31 PM MST
While packing up and moving out of our home pre-remodel, I stumbled across a box of empty brass from my college days back in the early 90's.  Among the almost 1000 rounds in the box were 300 rounds of 10mm, mostly winchester brass, but some federal.

These would have been fired from my Delta Elite that I owned during that time.  Talk about a gun I wish I had not sold.

Anyway, the brass was still in the 50 round boxes.  It was remanufactured ammo loaded with 180 gr lead conicals (truncated cone).  The price on the box was $8.00.

Man, I wish I had purchased 10,000 rounds at that price.  I can barely buy empty brass for that today.

Yes that was a time when 10mm was still very New, the FBI was dropping the cartridge for the 40(Short & Weak)...
Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a lot more of the S&W1046's & the Bren Tens too.   ;D  8)
