Well I just purchased a 10mm 3" GP100, haven't fired it yet and I have about $300 in accoutrements in various "carts" all over the Internet. ;D
Obviously the GP100, SRH and S&W 610 take different moon clips. The TK GP100 product is $80/8 clips, shopRuger.com wants $15/3 (perpetually out of stock) and allegedly the Ranch Products moon clip for the S&W 646 (never heard of it before) will fit the GP100 and Midway has them $9/8.
I'd love to acquire a couple dozen spare clips but it's going to take a while at $8 each. Does anyone have any other information on clippage?
I use the ranch products ones for my converted GP100. They work well.

The factory clips bend easily, TKs are a tad stiffer and seem like they'll hold up better. I wrecked a factory clip out the gate, haven't shot the TK ones yet, but bought a pack of 10mm and .40.

Howdy from WVa neighbor! I'll probably end up with at least one 8 pk of the TK clips. They are proud of them but with their reputation they might be a good option for serious carry.
I had good luck with the factory clips on an well lit, level, indoor range. They just feel spindly and I'm not sure I'd trust them to retain loaded rounds if the going got rough. I've ordered two 8 pks of the Ranch Products clips @ $24 delivered from Midway.
I also learned that 10mm rounds will work in a .38Spl speed strip. That makes for a compact way to carry six extra rounds. Not the most "Tactical" reload but lots of extra ammo is never a bad thing, unless you're swimming...

Howdy! I keep two loaded moon clips in a belt contraption designed for speed loaders. I'm interested to hear how the Ranch clips compare.

I bought the TK Custom clips and have been very pleased. They are a much better product than the factory offering.
Well the Ranch Products clips from Midway arrived today. They're .035" as opposed to the OEM clips at .032". The Ranch Products seem like they are a harder metal and hold the loaded rounds tighter which makes it easier to line them up with the chambers.
The Ranch clips also require my old .45acp de-mooning tool to remove empties. I used a small RoboGrip plier to snap stubborn cases into the clips when loading. Just hook the lower jaw thru the hole and the upper jaw on top of the casing to gently pop it in. Starline brass pretty much snapped in with heavy thumb pressure but I think there's less chance of bending a clip with the pliers.

The revolver guru at last weekend's shooting match uses nothing but TK, he's where I learned the plier trick. I have a 10 pack of TKs ordered, they should be here for the weekend but unless they are astoundingly better I'll be getting more of the ranch clips.
The TK Custom clips arrived today. They are marked as .032" and are slotted like the OEM Ruger clips. They are stiffer and harder to load than the OEM clip but easier than the Ranch Products clips. They also hold the cartridges in better alignment for speed loading than the OEM clip, I can't tell any difference over the Ranch Product clips.

I'm still dubious about the $8 each price tag on these but they do appear to be well made.
Those do look nice and probably more compliant than the Ranch ones due to the slot between the rounds. The ranch products ones are challenging to load for sure.
I bought and paid WAY too much for a moon clip loader/unloader but that thing is slick as all get out and fast to do both.

After playing with the different clips I had intended to send the TKs back and order several more Ranch clips. But now I've decided the TKs hold the rounds in better alignment and are pretty much usable without tools so I'm keeping them. AND ordering several more Ranch clips next payday. ;D
If the TKs were $3-$5 each it would be a no brainer. As it stands I'll use the TK clips for EDC and the Ranch for practice and IDPA shoots. I won't cry as hard if I step on one at $1.50 ea.
Now I have a package inbound with a holster and moon clip pouch from Simply Rugged. 8)
