Anyone have information about how these two run?
The Desert Eagle will be from the 90's without the rail on top (type I like). I wonder if certain years ran better with the switch to Minnesota?
I think the PMR-30 has remained unchanged and at one point they had a little issue running 100%? It appears this one can't be changed over to an adjustable rear sight?
I had a Desert Eagle 44 Mag. It was a lot like a boat. There will be 2 days when you'll smile so big you'll look like a chinaman. The first time is the day you get it. What a thing of beauty they are. Almost a work of art. Then the SHTF when you try to reload for it. It's only going to run in a very small band of pressure and velocity. If it's accurate-GREAT! You won the game. If it doesn't shoot in that spectrum, yer screwed cause going up or down means the POS won't run right. The second smilingest day is when you've managed to suck another idiot into buying yours and it's driving off, you holding money, him looking like a chinaman. The concept of the gun is fabulous, love it. The execution sucks for most of the pistols. But in all fairness to the gun, I've never seen one that ran trouble free, ever.
Where the Desert Eagle 44 Mag has issue is usually the gas port getting heavily fouled...they like slower burning powders for the extra gas but it can be the source of fouling in the small port. Some cast bullets may actually deposit some lead fouling in the port.

I have a PMR 30. Ran pretty well with half full mags for the first 3-400rnds them it proved to be a jamming nightmare. The magazines are hard to load and it's almost impossible to get all 30 in them. Usually the last few end up dented.
The incredible light weight comes at a cost. Thin stamped steel parts and springs chew up the polymer parts. There's a shock buffer that the gun will not run without. The lower is two halves screwed together and it's not easy to work on.
I can't, in good conscience, even sell this one.
I researched as much as I could and it seems these two are pretty much ringers!
