Title: Zero Bullets
Post by: Graybeard on May 20 2018 08:49:16 AM MDT
Anyone have experience with the 180gr HP Zero Bullets, particularly with hot loads? Looking for a little cheaper alternative to XTPs and HAPs. I'm not really concerned with self defense applications, but if they're reliable for that, all the better.

If cast works for you, Missouri Bullet Company offers some good stuff in my experience.
180 Grain TCFP (Brinell 18), 500 for $41.00

The only issue I have run into with any plates bullet is velocity limitation. I dont remember what it is for the hollow point. They state on the website. As for the quality they are very good.

Thanks guys. I should have mentioned I was in need of a bullet that can handle 1500fps or more. These will be used for AR load development. So far, my research of the 180gr Zero bullets indicates they are consistent weights but more for target use than self defense. Which is fine. Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with them?

Graybeard, The Zero Bullets  JHP's are lead core pressed into a true copper cup jacketed bullet.  They do work well for target but while they would work for self defense you may see jacket separation as they are not a bonded bullet...BTW, I use several of their bullets as sold from Roze Distributors, especially the 121 grain JHP's for my 9x25 Dillon and 357Sig

Zero 115 grain JHP in 9mm are a great bullet for target use in PPC and other competitive games.

Very effective for the price.

Thanks Shadow and Beemer. Looks like I'll have to give them a try.
