Title: heavier guid rod spring in their Rock Ultra full size HC 10mm
Post by: Kenk on May 15 2018 04:35:07 AM MDT
Does anyone use a heavier guid rod spring in their Rock Ultra full size HC  10mm than the factory 22 Lb spring? And if so, what poundage/ where do you find them? It seems like the factory 22lb spring would be ample, thoughts...
Thanks

Ken

I hate being that guy who has not done exactly what you are looking for.
So this is what I do have to offer.
I have a Gen3 Glock 20SF, and went from 18# stock to 22# with a steel guide rod. Ran it for years, and was happy. Then I got a DPM guide rod assembly custom done by DPM for heavy (true 10mm) loads. My grouping shrunk and follow up shots are easier.
I know they do an offering for the 1911s. You might give them a try. Their triple spring setup should take any slam out of the slide/frame combo.
They are spendy, and expect a tall 3 week wait time as it ships from Greece.
Just a thought, it worked for me.
