Title: Precision One ammo
Post by: Iluvmy10 on May 13 2018 09:44:37 AM MDT
Has anybody tried their 10mm "Hogzilla Load" load for 10mm long slide? I have a Dan Wesson Bruin and a Remington R1 both 6", shot the Sig Sauer Elite Performance 180 grain FMJ and it ran flawlessly through both guns. Have had trouble with other ammo only in the 6" guns. I can't find the Sig ammo at a reasonable price and I live about an hour from Precision One and can pick it up from their factory. Just wondering if there was someone that has shot it before. I'm not in a position to reload my own, have used Double Tap and Buffalo Bore and they work great, just looking for something that won't break the bank. Thanks for any and all help!

Back in 2013 they were loading with Unique Weight: 6.4 grains
Precision One 180gr ZERO  JHP
Ballistics Information: 10mm Auto
Muzzle Velocity: 1025 fps
Muzzle Energy: 419 ft. lbs

It would be interesting to see if they have changes powders or recipes...

10mm 180gr FMJ *NEW* 50rds 'HOGZILLA LOAD'  Judging from the data advertised they upped there game some.
This is our most powerful line of 10mm ammo. It is 1222 fps out of a 4.5" barrel(yes, if you have a 5" or longer barrel it will have more velocity). It is extremely accurate ammo...at 25 yds I hit two bricks and it turned them into a powder cloud.

At $23.99 for 50, the HOGZILLA LOAD 180gr FMJ  would be well worth a try

I don't know about their "Hogzilla" load but their standard 180gr load is on closeout for $12.99 at Bang It Ammo.

I have never orders form Bang It Ammo so I can't say anything about them.

I've been buying the Pri-Partisan 170gr factory ammo from Grafs. It shoots consistently out of my R1 at just over an inch at 25 yds. It is the 170gr bullet, not a 180. Per PPU website, the bullet is running at 340 meters per second or 1115'ps. The powder is 8.0 grs according to my scale and is some slightly yellow tinted small kernel powder. Shoots clean. Might look at Grafs for your needs. They charge $7.50 freight on the entire order, no matter how much or how little you buy, haz mat excluded. Freight on ammo can get expensive quick. They have other brands of ammo including Precision.

Hey Olgi, so the Fenix's performance was satisfactory then?

They shot well. Kick like a mule though. For hollow points it's $40 for 50.

So they are on par with Underwood's stuff I would assume : )

Either that or better. Their hollow points have large cavities. looks wicked.  8)

Have always liked Gold Dots, used to carry them in my early CCW days
