I have 5, Glock (Factory) G-20, 15 Round Magazines that I've been running thru a Gen 2 Lower under a 10mm MechTech CCU
Each Mag has had a Arredondo +5 Base from day one
After a few years and several hundred Rounds, I am starting to see an odd feed issue
The Top Round will feed (and chamber) fine, but will not cycle feed the next Round
We get a "Nose Up" Jam
Bolt drop by hand will feed, but it will not feed on its own
I tried a Friend's Factory 10 Round Magazine and the CCU runs flawlessly
Posted the issue on the MechTech Forum, and it was suggested that there may be some Feedlip issue
Can someone do me a favor and mic the opening between their G-20 Mag's Feedlips and post a couple Dimensions
OR, any suggestions
Thanks in advance
Did the Arredondo +5 Bases come with magazine springs?
The extra round count could be exerting more upward pressure on the cartridge as it sits in the feedlips. As the cartridge is pushed forward it might be tipping upward at the front of the lips. The top cartridge may drag on the bolt as it is cycling rearward slowing it down.
Another thought is the ammo in use vs. the cycling of the bolt, there needs to be sufficient travel rearwards to get behind the cartridge and push it forward to chamber. Cleaning the bolt and it travel area along with proper lubrication could also help.
Not much help, but I never could get the Arredondo +5 to work reliably at all for me.

If it worked before, it is most likely the magazine spring.
.
I would also take the magazines apart, clean the insides, followers and springs to insure they are not binding and the follower can slide up smoothly...As it seems to be magazine related.
Ammo with varying bullet nose styles, bullet materials and COL's can also cause issues...so its a matter of elimination to solving the problem.
Thanks everyone for the great input
Yes, the Arredondo +5s came with their own Springs and they've been on the Mags from day one
Not sure what could have changed, but it sounds like EVERYTHING needs to be stripped and given a major cleaning
It's gonna be the springs. They have to be pretty stiff to feed well. Also your slide velocity will contribute to feed problems by cycling too fast. I'd use a stiffer spring there as well to slow it down.
We made them soft for the human hands but not the gun. :-[
Since my G29 is my carry piece I have stiff springs in it. Needs to be reliable.
While trying to solve my Feed issue, I ran across the following info on Glock Magazines Feedlip Width
Hope folks find this helpful
If you are experiencing FTF (Failure to Feed) with your Glock, it is possible that the fault lies with the steel lips on your magazines.
If they are too wide, you may have a Nose UP failure to feed.
If they are too narrow, you may have a Nose DOWN failure to feed.
