Title: 10.4gr Blue Dot under 180gr XTP or HAP accuracy
Post by: Kenk on March 13 2018 01:41:44 AM MDT
Question on increasing Blue Dots charge weight from say, 10.4 to higher levels. Do you find that 10.4 is the undocumented sweet spot, or does BD maintain above average accuracy at all safe levels? These will be used in a Glock 20, gen 4 with a factory length KKM barrel
Thanks

Ken

Will say that, IMO, the 10.2- 10.4 of BD is as you say the sweet spot for 180 gr heads ( in my stock G20-3 ).

Doesn't matter if I'm using FMJ remington or Montana Gold or Heavy Plated Xtremes....  it just loves the combo.

I have gone to 11gr , which is book max ( some books, not all, so work up to it ) ,  but I find the group spreads out a bit

Concur.  Best accuracy is just a bit below max with Blue Dot.  This seems pretty true across bullet weights for me.

Was just out at a buddys farm with a new batch of 10.4gr's Blue Dot under 180gr HAP in the G20 gen 4. This recipe never disappoints : )
